It really doesn't seem like it from reading the other posts here. Most seem to think Jesus told that parable just so people could describe some place they call "Hell."

I sure wish people could stop flooding posts with hundreds of words long enough to absorb what my Signature says.

That's an interesting phrase that I have heard described several different ways. Would you mind further "fleshing out" your personal understanding of those particular words?

It is so rare to find someone who seems to actually understand this parable.

Why would you be warned to flee to the mountains today? Or why should it concern you if all this bad stuff comes on a Sunday, or in the Winter time, or if a woman is nursing... or what part of the house you are in, etc? If a nuclear missile hits down the street, your vaporized body ain't...

Trust me, that is one fringe fanatic that you can be thankful you never heard of. That one is WAY over the edge.

I really do get tired of repeatedly asking...… But, because Jesus will return, what is it that is required of Christians that they are not already doing? (But, I still ask because no one has ever told me.)

Who dare? Gosh, do you want a list, or can you just scroll back through a history of posts? Many Christian forums are built on the backs of people blindly accusing others of just about anything you can name.

I'm still waiting for someone to use what I think is the correct definition: "Devotion."

But, it WAS mentioned. If you will notice, it is written that WHEN THEY HAD FINISHED EATING (EATING the traditional Passover meal... lamb, herbs, eggs, prunes?, etc.), Jesus took some of the bread that was already on the table.....

If being honest, I would have to say, "No." Because, like so many people raised in mainstream churches, I was first baptized through the typical avenue of the fear-factor, fire insurance conversion most churches promoted in those days... and that many still do.
