Was Jesus Heretical? - Why did they crucify Him?

Was Jesus Heretical? - Why did they crucify Him? I think he showed them up. They couldn't handle his purity. I also think the same thing happens today.....being in love with one's points of view has a greater draw than being in love with Jesus. Mostly, there is disdain where there is a...

    Was Jesus Orthodox? (or Baptist?)

.....and God's affection for sinners is eclipsed.....the very thing the enemy of souls intends. He makes education and eloquence pat itself on the back and the simple message of God's generosity and tenderness towards erring man discounted, even lost.

Any single moms or Dads here taking care of a special kid?

Hello Ivy, parenting is challenging and the assurance the little ones need relationally is not to be underestimated. It is the primary building block for healthy self esteem. You are fortunate having your parents as a back stop. Be strong and make good choices.

Denying the Cross: How to do it

Is love/ tenderness an equation? something one argues about? Those that do argue haven't understood the language (paid, ransom, gift, free, propitiation, sacrifice etc) used. They think in terms of an necessary activated exchange. Have you considered that God's generosity, his tenderness, his...

    Was Jesus crucified?

None of us know as we ought to know. Knowing this births humility, not a boasting of ones cognitive abilities.

    Was Jesus crucified?

I would say, the ability to get over one's own unacknowledged limitations generates an atmosphere of mutual discovery. Outing others has always been the primary domain of those considering themselves informed.

    Was Jesus crucified?

ahhhhh, 'irrefutable', such a subjective word. Irrefutable in one's own mind as it is in the minds of all who are convinced of a matter. 'Irrefutable' objectively, is the work of the spirit not the logic man employs. Every self appointed guru plays with the notion of their 'processes' being...

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

hmmmm.....it's getting rough, particularly when the participants float the rules! If God's laws are supposedly done away with, how is it men are such sticklers for their own?

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

John 1:5 Amplified Bible (AMP) The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

It reads as it reads for the purpose of conveying the insight John had of who Jesus is.

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

You couple it with John 1:1-5 ' In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind...

    The Time is Fulfilled

Doesn't the context tell you? The solution assumed prior to Jesus was violence....eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Is God's kingdom of that nature? Not sure? I think Jesus is the embodiment of God's kingdom. The way he solves problems tells us. We need to pay closer attention.
