Taking Back Blessing & Benefitting From Lying

What does it mean? You can’t have it both ways.

    Populist Viewpoint vs Verified Facts

Great point! I’m having an epic conversation in another thread with a feminist about the evils of feminism. So seduced by a utopian ideal, she cannot accept that the best human system will still not be perfect. It is a practical, reality based world view. The same with freedom. Free...

Cussing issues- what is and what is not?

One of the most common misconceptions is that cussing is a violation of the commandment prohibiting taking the LORD's name (YHWH) in vain. It is not. Cussing is a (vulgar) literary exclamatory technique above and beyond a mere exclamation point. Take the trash out. Take the trash out! Take the...

    Populist Viewpoint vs Verified Facts

The epistemological approach works here to. "We need to ban guns" For Whom? For tyrants For What? To more easily take control in implementing totalitarian policies without so much resistance. Of course, they mask it "for the children" or other such appeals to emotion but there it is.

    Robert F Kennedy Full Speech

Hmmm. They say politics is the art of the possible. It's not so much about compromise as it is priority but that is debatable. For instance, suppose there are 11 parties who have 10 platform issues each. For all 11 parties, they share the same public policy on 3 platform issues. This forms the...

    Populist Viewpoint vs Verified Facts

I am a philosopher. I'll give 2 examples: guns and beauty. Guns are important. To Whom? Free citizens. Unarmed people are subjects. For What? The final defense against tyranny. Beauty. Poets claimed beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Science found this is untrue. Across all species, there...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

This vid exposes what is called "Pretty privilege". Study shows all women find only 10-20% of men attractive. This hypergamy is real and at odds with feminist ideology. Social media is ruining women's mental health, much more than for males. Great case study.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

This is an excellent vid about the horrors of feminism making women miserable by getting run through to the point they cannot pair bond anymore as they never learned to take responsibility for choices, putting sex ahead of the relationship with Chad's, looking to "not settle," even doubling down...

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

I don't know. That is not what actual LDS say. But you are not looking inward at what you say. If the Scriptures were so edifying there would be only one denomination. Said differently, even denominations who only claim to rely on THE Scriptures develop different doctrines. How do you account...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Working in the home has always been a luxury because your labor is all for you (and yours). A little humility would allow to to realize the only reason an employer pays you X is that he is making more than X from your labor. This means not all your labor benefits you but your employer. Not only...

    Populist Viewpoint vs Verified Facts

What you referenced in the OP may be called Conventional Wisdom (CW), what you are calling Populist Viewpoint. Ideas that are commonly accepted but may not be rooted in truth. The examples you cite seem rather pedantic but may come out as the discussion unfolds. Diving into this...

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

Oh come on now! There are countless books on Christ. And the LDS do believe the Scriptures. If the Scriptures were so edifying wouldn't there be one 1 Christian denomination?

    Robert F Kennedy Full Speech

That's a tall order there @lforrest. 2 Corinthians 6:14 For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Appealing to unity is the right call - where it is possible, such as with moderates and independents. I read a couple of weeks ago that...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

@Mink57, your posts reveal that you are laboring under a false premise. The premise of this thread is Triumphing over Feminism through Strength and Honor. Rather than applaud that triumph and reinforce it, your posts are in denial of the strength and honor required to think past a seductive...

Taking Back Blessing & Benefitting From Lying

In today's devotional reading, I came to Genesis 39, Joseph and Potiphar's Wife. She lied about who was the sexual aggressor. No evidence she was cursed for her lie. She benefitted by escaping the accusation of being a would be adulterer.

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

What you write is very grounded and reasonable, as always. Jane, I really don't understand the vitriol many have on this forum against certain denominations; namely JW, LDS, SDA & Universalists. It's never ending thread after thread! So, we have some doctrinal differences? I firmly believe...
