Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Pointing out false doctrine using scripture is not playing God.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

We are to share the truth in love yet false doctrine needs to be exposed.

No need for profanity. Why so hostile? His slanderous remarks are rude, but I'm a grown man and can take it.

He has not covered sinless perfection and the deity of Christ in this particular discussion but he has in many other discussions. Ask him what he believes about sinless perfection and also if he believes that Jesus is God. He has demonstrated that he teaches type 2 works salvation in this...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

You need to stop weaponizing isolated verses in a slanderous way in an effort to attack others character and instead present a legitimate rebuttal using scripture in a proper way.

At least you acknowledge there is shallow, temporary belief. Progress! How is it enduring belief if someone permanently falls away? :contemplate:

Its no a word salad. Not all belief is the same and not all belief saves as I already thoroughly explained to you in post #609. You teach salvation by works, sinless perfection and you deny that Jesus is God. Don't be that guy who promotes heretical doctrine.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Shallow, temporary belief that has no root, lacks moisture and produces no fruit (faith without works is dead) does not represent believing the gospel unto salvation. You need to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

What alternate meanings? I used multiple passages of scripture to back up my arguments. Still no rebuttal?

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

In James 2:19, we see that the demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God" but they do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ abd are not saved. (Acts 16:31) The Greek word for "believe" in both verses is "pisteuo." Not all belief is saving belief.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I keep hearing salvation by works (at least in part) in your posts. Does the Lord preserve His saints forever or did He lie? (Psalm 37:28) Does Jesus give His sheep eternal life and they shall never perish or be plucked out His hand or did He lie? (John 10:27,28) Are believers sealed with the...

You reject the words of scripture that I cited.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I see that you have no rebuttal to the multiple passages of scripture that I cited which refute your biased interpretation.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Even though this shallow ground hearer in Luke 8:13 is said to have "believed," yet he is never said to have been "saved." How do we know that the shallow ground hearer was never actually "saved"? First, his heart condition is contrasted with that of the "good ground" hearer in the 4th soil...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Prior to my conversion several years ago while still attending the Roman Catholic church, it was impossible for me to believe in OSAS because at that time, I thought obtaining and maintaining salvation was based on our performance/works. Picking up one's cross daily can easily end up being...

A better way to ask that question is whose hearts were hardened? Believing Hebrews or unbelieving Hebrews? Not that God fatalistically determined that their hearts would be hardened.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Hebrews 3:8-10 says, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore, I was angry with that generation, and said, 'They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I have noticed that ALL false religions and cults that promote salvation by works strongly oppose OSAS which has always been a major red flag for me.

Who was it that hardened their hearts? Jude 1:5 - Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people (the Israelites) out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.
