MARK 1:44 THE LAW OF MOSES

Nobody puts themselves under grace. A person is only under grace when they abide in Christ....just like we read in Acts and the epistles. You are infected with Dispensationalism...which is a man-made invention that seeks to make lawlessness legit.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN BELIEVING GENTILES?

I would say...who taught you this cacophony of religiosity? There are too many errors here to count. First what do you mean by saved? Delivered from the power of sin? Go to heaven like "all good dogs"? There is no such thing as a dispensation the way you put it. A dispensation is a stewardship...

    Upping the ante

If we try to rid ourselves of the law because of grace it would be like asking for a glass of water but without the glass. Since we ourselves are the container...then we would be eliminating ourselves from the equation. Which reminds me of a friend of mine who speaks only a little English. He...

    Upping the ante

Does grace replace the law? Not at all. Grace fulfills the law. And we who enter into Christ are there to show how that law works. Rom. 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

    Divine Hiddenness

God works in hidden ways. What is keeping the universe in perfect balance? What is making our hearts beat? When we miss the wonders of God's creation...we miss the evidence of a Person that is so big and wonderful that our tiny brains can't grasp it let alone handle it.

    Upping the ante

Amen! But there is a law...the law of faith...and of life in the Spirit... that keeps us in the presence of God. Imagine that gravity is something bad...that keeps us from flying. But it is also something good....it keeps us from flying around aimlessly. So then law keeps us grounded. The law...

    Upping the ante

So then we are saved because of law....God's law. The law of faith in God. The same God that gives us an impossible standard for our level of strength...empowers us to fulfill that law by a new and living way in Christ that DOES the impossible. Such is the glory of the gospel.

    Upping the ante

It's like a man with an old computer but he is unwilling to upgrade and lose all his programs. Being rich in a fallen state seems better than being poor in an elevated state. He chose to be a big fish in a small pond rather than a small fish in a big pond. He chose to be a big star in a small...

    Upping the ante

Law is according to power. God gives us the power of a new life. Not just a model we can't hope to emulate. With God there is no ideals or ideology. God just does things.....impossible things. We need to go to God for HIS kind of fix.

    Upping the ante

God knows how to fix us. When we go to Him broken...He doesn't just recover us to what we were before...but makes us into a whole new person. The law makes us broken....so that we will go to Him for His Jesus upgrade. The difficulty is the cost. It costs us our old selves. It costs us our old...

But his own life with it's weaknesses....was still too attractive to allow God to crucify for him.

    Upping the ante

True! But why would God frustrate us with more awareness of truth but without the power to overcome sin? IOW what is the use of having more love for righteousness yet leave our sin factory intact? Hence the new life in Christ. A life in a new power and one where we are no longer master. A...

OK...and I had added this...but too late... And what does this have to do with....the soul that sins...it shall die. ???

Very strange pronouncement by Paul. What do you think it means? And what does this have to do with....the soul that sins...it shall die. ???

Can a Christian have a demon?

Once it becomes a movement....the devil gets involved. Besides God never does the same thing twice, or the same way. But the devil opens up a switch and bait shop because the people want something that resembles the work of God.

    The Law

God grants us a visitation for an experience of the cross....so that we are out of the way....stuck to a wall as it were. So HE does the crucifying of the outer natural man in us. This is beyond what we can do. He does this in a spiritual event... by the operation of God. He is the doctor....we...

    Upping the ante

This is good. It describes the Romans 7 experience of desiring to do good. But there is a lack of power in ourselves to fulfill that to the level of holiness. We can become decent human beings....all the while knowing that we can't fully conquer the power of sin in us. And that is because it is...

Easy to post, not as easy to live!

There is the ignore button. I usually have a half-dozen people on this function at any one time. I check back with their postings from time to time to see if anything has changed. Recently a poster started a thread on being sorry. That's a good sign. The people to ignore in my books takes 2...

    Divine Hiddenness

Again false...God loves the world. It is the introduction of evil into the world by the authority of the devil that the world is in this state.

    Divine Hiddenness

You have an agnostic stance. If one cannot deduce that there is a God by simple evidence...which is good enough for many people...then it takes an encounter with God.
