A Test Of Reading Comprehension and Honesty

No, why are they saved? Because their faith in the Messiah returned! What if they died before their faith returned Dan? That's something you need to ponder. Again we both know their hardened hearts were softened by seeing with their own eyes. But you are claiming they were never in a lost...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

I believe His word do you? Mark 16:15-16, - he that believeth and is baptized will be saved; he that believeth not will be condemned. Where did Jesus preach saved by belief only and no obedience to His commandments? Also, Where does the Bible teach obeying or doing Gods will is meriting...

Ephesians 2:8-9, Where and How were the Ephesians saved?

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Yes, Did Abraham do works of obedience in Genesis 12, 13, 14, 15 before God accounted His faith as righteousness?

The thief on the cross misconceptions

I never said that. You are confused

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Faith alone did not account Abraham as righteous, no way. God commanded him to do things and because Abraham had faith in God he obeyed. That is Biblical saving faith. Just believing what God says but dis-obeying His commandments cannot save. The faith that saves is the faith that obeys...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

That's not the example of Abraham's faith. He did obey Gods commandments before God accounted His faith as righteousness. Your teaching is not Biblical faith.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Again, so according to you. If Abraham only believed what God tells him but rebelled against God by not leaving his homeland, not sacrificing his son Isacc. That is according to you saving faith. Or faith without obedience to God. James 2:20, - but do you want to know O foolish man that faith...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

If Abraham only believed God but did not leave his homeland, then God would have never accounted Abraham's faith as righteousness. Saving faith in the old and new testaments has always been a faith that obeys God.
  10. Titus

The thief on the cross misconceptions

No, you need to study your old testament. Genesis 12 Abraham believed and obeyed Gods commandments. Genesis 15:6 God accounts Abraham's faith as righteousness. That is not faith alone and no obedience. God said Abraham's faith was accounted righteousness because he did not have faith only, he...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Read Genesis 12 to Genesis 26. That will explain that Abraham was justified by an obedient faith. God never justified Abraham because he believed what he said. He was accounted righteous because He believed and obeyed God. Hebrews 11:8, - by faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

That's vague. Be specific of what you believe God requires of us to receive His grace. If you say we must do something, that goes against the theology that God does everything man does nothing.
  13. Titus

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Ephesians 2:8-9. Explain where and how the Ephesians were saved? Obedience is not saving ourselves without Gods grace. As Ernest T. Bass has asked, where in the Bible does it say obeying Gods will is a work of merit?
  14. Titus

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Jesus said yes, Hebrews 5:8-9, - and having been perfected, Jesus became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Never said, baptism in Jesus name is not found in the new testament as you wrongly accused me. I said I've never found "this doctrine" i.e. water baptism in Jesus' name in the NT for those who are already saved.
  16. Titus

The thief on the cross misconceptions

I know I never said that. Quote me saying no passage of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. You are either making false accusations against me or don't pay attention and are careless what you say about others. Which one is it? I'll be expecting an apology if you are a man of integrity.

A Test Of Reading Comprehension and Honesty

Yes not apostles, the reason I used this verse is to show those with hardness of heart cannot be saved. The apostles are in the same boat with these folks. They(apostles) had hardened their hearts. You are trying to convince me that folks with hardened hearts will be saved and in heaven. All...

    Renewable Salvation

So, if you never loose your trust in God, then you are waiting on Him to perform good works through you. What then do we think of those who trust in Christ but show no good works in there lives? I'm guessing you would say they never really trusted in Jesus. Therefore if true Biblical saving...

    Renewable Salvation

Please elaborate, are you suggesting that God does the work of believing for us? Or do we believe on our own free will? Also do you agree that obeying Gods commandments are works? Thanks, so you believe the good works you do, is not you doing them but God doing those works through you. aka...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Peter taught what I teach on baptism and all my brethren around the world are not excluded. So did Paul, Acts 22:16. I've still yet to see a new testament scripture from you that says baptism is for the already saved. Cornelius is certainly not an example. Never heard any apostle teach it. Only...
