Why did Jesus tell the thief he would be with Him in paradise that same day?

One translates to a large degree on how one sees....that's how it works. If you believe you go to heaven when you die you would probably put the comma where many translators have put it however, when you take all things into consideration surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection it becomes...

Why did Jesus tell the thief he would be with Him in paradise that same day?

Punctuation was not in the original languages. All punctuation is an addition for the purpose of breaking up the written text; making it easier to read. They have simply got the comma in the wrong place.

Why did Jesus tell the thief he would be with Him in paradise that same day?

Jesus didn't go to paradise that day, he was dead. The comma has been put in the wrong place. It should read like this to be consistent with the facts. 'I say unto you today, you will be with me in paradise' In other words, Jesus was addressing the thief that day, telling him he is a saved man

    First day worship

Here you go with misrepresentation Enoch.....and to attempt to give clout to your misrepresentation you use the word 'merely' Every holiday was know as a sabbath....like the various feast days....it means a rest day. These are the sabbath (s) referred to. These were the shadows. You will not...

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

I am comparing it to a dysfunction. I don't think thats bigotry.

    First day worship

Enoch, you can twist your logic around any way you want.....the Commandments written in stone stand unalterable. You can blame who you want for any reason you can imagine, the Commandments stand unalterable. Regarding the fourth Commandment which admonishes us to remember, it appears you are...

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

We are all greedy and selfish :) ....when you use God's measure. Of course if we use our own measure anything is justifiable and dysfunction is not seen as dysfunction but argued to be just another expression of humanity. From that position everything is justifiable; murder, lies...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

There is a bigger picture which needs to be understood so that the term 'the remnant' can be understood. We start with Adam.....we are all his progeny therefore we are all in him (no choice of our own). Adam is the representative of the human race. What happens/happened to Adam, happens to us...

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

It's mandatory to get healthy principles clear in your own mind first. To know what function and dysfunction consist of. Trying to fix a broken computer with a broken computer is not possible.

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

I have no interest in justifying Leviticus 18:22. I have interest in understanding its intent and why.

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

Are you homosexual Romanov?.....maybe you are, maybe you're not. In any case, homosexuality is dysfunctional.....just like greed or selfishness is; just like capitalism and communism is. Now when that registers, we can explore it! As long as these dispositions or systems are justified, there is...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

of course I know what a remnant is.....but please don't preach at me....because if that's your intention, you've lost me. Talk to me, I am an intelligent and reasonably informed person.....even about your view of election.

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

People have homophobia, not the scriptures. People have all sorts of unjustified prejudices for their own reasons.....and mostly they are not aware of it. One needs to establish what is dysfunctional before one can draw an accurate conclusion, otherwise we muddle everything up, like for...

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

@Romanov2488 ..... A fool has no delight in understanding but only in expressing his own opinion. Proverbs 18:2 You might consider if there is any truth in the above quote and whether it applies to you or not?

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

It's like this Romanov2488, If your available energy is bent on bashing something you don't understand then it is pointless having a conversation, however if you are open to an explanation which changes the perspective it is then possible to learn and grow?

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

@Romanov2488 ....and I would like to add, why conflate 'christians' with Jesus? What if the majority are poor representatives? What if many have created a 'Jesus' quiet different to the resurrected one?

I Didn't Choose to Be an Agnostic

let's deal with one issue at a time.....just for clarity. Let's look at the 'contradiction' you brought up.....seeing God face to face. When you speak to someone on the telephone do you not or could you not use the expression 'face to face' in conversation? ....in other words, what you're...
