    A friend's perspective...

He has a good point I think. Jesus is not an idol or an object of fanaticism to be obsessed over. He is the means by which we do everything....who we see through and act through.

    The Proof of Salvation

Here is a case for love: God's ways are far above our own. (And this includes we believers and unbelievers who are also human.) Now religion gets a hold of this statement and thinks....it is non-believers that are not like God but in fact I am like God. (since they see themselves practically...

Thank you for your kind words. You are as a ray of Son shine! :)

    The Proof of Salvation

You are missing love entirely from your assessment of the board member here. We correct the people we know...who are open to that correction. Our relationship must go far beyond...corrector and correctee. That is what judges do. A cold judgment as you advocate. The truth IS love....and we are...

    The Proof of Salvation

A religion isn't sinful until it imposes itself on others. That's when error becomes sin. You may decide to do this...but this makes what you are doing far worse. The bible says...judge not! It doesn't say...get the right beliefs or perish. And nowhere are we told to judge people based on their...

    The Proof of Salvation

The problem with the world is not that we love people too much....but that we love so little. I am not here to judge a person by their opinions. People who put labels on others and judge them have failed the test of love. When Jesus accepted the prostitute...was He condoning her sins? Or was He...

    The Proof of Salvation

All isms come from men. One ism will justify itself over another. But this is not the way of love. We don't judge people for errors in their beliefs....but if they love or not. God will NOT judge us on the accuracy of our beliefs or opinions. That is not to say that there is not truth. But even...

    The Proof of Salvation

The condemnation of the religious posers in Jesus' day was that they had not the love of the Father in them. John 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. Religion has no capacity for love. It argues over beliefs. It justifies itself by a set of beliefs. But this is the...

    The Proof of Salvation

A person who knows God knows what kind of love God is. Even people who have never encountered God know that something is different about a person who loves. God will destroy they who both refuse to love and hurt those who do.

Worth re-posting. Thanks to you Mark! :)

    The Proof of Salvation

Yes....my finger stayed too long on the key...thanks. People know the love that is selfless. It is not something one encounters very often. That's how people know there is something different about a person. That love is our best witness and ambassadorship of God who is Love.

    The Proof of Salvation

We see the irony in that so many people declare themselves as being saved based on either a dogmatic religious acceptance of Jesus as a "personal" saviour.....thus self-justifying....or else based on an encounter with God at some time in the past. But the real proof is that we walk as Jesus...

    The Proof of Salvation

But the world also will know... John 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

    The Proof of Salvation

The normal human way takes 2 possible shortcuts that deviate from the truth. One is to become religious and a harsh judge..believing that non-Christians are simply evil and incapable of any love (thus justifying their own religious dogmatism that they try passing for love). The other error is to...

    The Proof of Salvation

There's an inversion that takes place. I prefer the word inversion to conversion....as in... when people accused Paul of "turning the world upside down." Exactly. We stop being self-absorbed and become Christ-centered.....and body conscious so that we don't say "I" but "we". We are not to set...

    The Proof of Salvation

We tend towards religiosity so often as we get further away from our encounter with pure love...God. We try filling in the gaps with what seems right in our own eyes. But to do this is to take away from holiness. Whatever gets mixed in with what is pure becomes defiled. So we must keep our own...

    The Proof of Salvation

The Spirit of God is the dimension of love. We could say this is the 4th dimension. When we walk in the Spirit we are walking in God's divine love. The fruit of the Spirit is love. We know we are walking in the Spirit when that love is in us and flowing through us.

    The Bible and politics

God's politics are wrapped up in the message of the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is love, joy and peace by the Spirit. His kingdom is NOT of this world. So we, as Christians are indeed political....just not worldly.

When to look for the rapture of the church

I think it is telling that the rapture is reduced to only one kind of reference from the bible.....to escape this world physically at no cost to ourselves. Religion is escapist by design. But most of the references to rapture (harpazo) involves walking in the Spirit in Zion while we yet live...

    The Proof of Salvation

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness .....love.
