    The Gospel

Why would Jesus say to His own disciples...you shall know the truth (in the future).....??? Did they not already know Jesus?

    Sell Your Possessions and Properties

The idea of common ownership is to have a common cause....which is to live the life that Jesus was raised again to give to mankind. We are to be witnesses of His life by the love and life that is exhibited in the Christian community. It's what is called "church life"...and I'n not talking about...

    The Gospel

Who determines what "rejecting Christ" signifies or entails? A rejection of our organized religion perhaps? Or is it a person who claims to follow Jesus but refuses to humble themselves so as to obey Christ to say...love your enemies or bless those who curse us. A religious stance that claims...

    Knowing "Truth"

When a person reads the text from weakness....God is there to empower us. But when a person reads looking to be justified for his/her beliefs....what is strengthened is a religious pride that defies God even while believing to be justified by Him.

MATTHEW 5:19 THESE LEAST COMMANDMENTS ******

There is no salvation for a correct theology. There is no theology exam on judgment day. Salvation comes from actually living in Christ....and doing as He did. Then our works will show forth our faith, love and devotion to Christ and the truth that He is.

    Just a little history

True faith arises out of doubt. One must make their own connection with God by trusting Him in every situation. The worst thing in the world is to try comparing one's own faith with that of others. That's a faith destroyer. Look to God, not people. Too often other people are stuck in a belief...

    The Gospel

It is a popular religious fable that a sacrifice has to be "accepted" in order to work. It's more like...what are you going to do now! There's far too much self-congratulatory rhetoric based on a survival instinct self-preservational acceptance of a seeming way to get away with being a sinner...

    Agnostic at heart

Very few see this truth.....:) Beliefs are from the strength of the natural man. Faith comes from the inner weakness of a man. This is so basic yet most seem to not get it at all.

    Explaining Christ As Life

In Zion. When we are transported (translated or raptured) there we exhibit the fruits of being there...love joy and peace unspeakable and beyond anything in this life.

    Explaining Christ As Life

It takes a human understanding to minimize what God sees in advance. God can do anything. How do you know that God will reject most Christians and save those who suffer and are poor but never sat in a pew? Are we become fully Pharisees so that we judge from ourselves? Do you see what I mean?

    Explaining Christ As Life

This does not go far enough to being crucified in the flesh. That's the problem with modern Christianity. It's all the free stuff...but no loving response and devotion to God by surrendering one's life in return. It's like...a free sample...good...I'll take that. And then it's see you later. So...

    Knowing "Truth"

One must be wary of self in reading the bible. Too many people read the bible to see how they can be saved as they are already....instead of learning to follow the truth.

    Are Christianity and Buddhism compatible?

That's my point. Christians who do no more than a Buddhist would...or less...and then condemn the Buddhist thereby condemning themselves who do the same....or less. The hypocrisy is in claiming too much for oneself and judging others for doing the same....or less.
  14. Episkopos

    Knowing "Truth"

Once the human ego gets involved ....things tend to get exaggerated to the benefit of self. So "a" truth is received as "the" truth...with a self-congratulatory appeal. Hence today we have these divisions in the church centered on being the pillar and ground of "a" truth. Why does "exegesis"...

    Explaining Christ As Life

The key in all this is to find our lives in Christ by abiding in Him. Then our life is IN Christ and not just Christ being somewhere inside of us. People tend to be happy with a superficial relationship of Christ being an inner forgiver for a life that is NOT IN Christ.

    Explaining Christ As Life

That judgment is for they who are without Christ....who don't know Him and yet receive Him though His servants.

    Are Christianity and Buddhism compatible?

There is a similarity in the sense that the Buddha came to the conclusion that we should treat others how we wish to be treated. But a Christian passes everything through God whereas a Buddhist does things in his own strength and understanding. Jesus clarified the situation by saying to love...

MATTHEW 4:23 GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM ******

This is false as a simple bible search will prove. The purpose of the OP is therefore not in keeping with the truth. So this is a "wind of doctrine" alert. There is but one gospel...which is of the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is according to grace and power. We enter in by faith. A...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

This is false. The word is weakness. It's not that we can't imagine the good....it's that we are too weak to do it. Again false. Salvation is always conditional to having a right attitude....and that attitude is not in thinking how saved we are. Again...wrong. Jesus died for the sins of the...

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

That's what I wouldn't do. Does God need to be defended? Just pray that the person would be convicted by the Spirit.
