Getting out of the : "sin confessing and repenting" trap.

The washing away of sin is signified, but not procured in water baptism. If one is depending on water baptism for salvation and not on becoming a child of God through faith in Christ, then one becomes an imposter, and is declaring, in baptism, to be what they are not. One does not put on a...

The Real Sabbath Day of GOD = Genesis 2;2-3, Exodus 20;8-11, Luke 4;16

Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

Good post brother. Notice that - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (vs. 9) is IN CONTRAST TO - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (vs. 8) and - If we...

    Romans 6:22

Some people turn this promise from Jesus in John 10:27-28 into a mockery and promote salvation by works by interpreting it this way - My sheep hear My voice, (some of them hear My voice and some of them don't hear My voice) and I know them, (some of them I know and some of them I don't know) and...

    Romans 6:22

Too many people are following a different Jesus who is not God and embracing a different gospel that cannot save them. (John 8:24; 2 Corinthians 4:3,4; 11:4; Galatians 1:6-9)

    Romans 6:22

For the umpteenth time, I already explained this passage of scripture in post #584. If you are still unable to grasp the truth, then I cannot help you any further. https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/romans-6-22.53793/page-30#post-1520422

    Romans 6:22

There is too much SELF promotion and SELF righteousness going on in these threads. Christ gets ALL the glory for our salvation and without Him we are nothing!

    Romans 6:22

I have continued in the faith for 25 years now and still counting, thanks be to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith. Whether Jew or Gentile, it's unbelief that gets you cut off. My faith in Christ is too engraved in me and I'm too convinced and...

    Romans 6:22

Your method of hermeneutics - "isolate a pet verse, build doctrine on it, then ignore the context." That's called "flawed hermeneutics." God spared not the natural branches because of unbelief, which is not standing by faith. The same goes for the Gentiles. Simple.

    Romans 6:22

That statement is the epitome of IRONY.

    Romans 6:22

That's your biased understanding of the passage taken out of context. Genuine believers stand by faith. Unbelief is not standing by faith. Hence, cut off. The Israelites were in the olive tree to begin with because they were the "natural branches" and not because they were all saved. Again...

    Romans 6:22

It's Biblical, as I already demonstrated from scripture and you don't need that exact phrase spelled out for you in order to figure it out. Maybe you would prefer the phrase, "preservation of the saints." (Psalm 37:28; Jude 1:1) I already explained this in post #38...
