The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Thank you Truther. So your theory is that any church that is completely free of the doctrine of the Trinity, baptism being necessary for salvation, the Real Presence in communion, anointing of the sick, marriage, etc. then that church is the true church started by Christ and the Apostles...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Hi Truther, Was the Protestant movement, which started 500 years ago, built upon the foundation of the Apostles? Curious Mary

Hi Truther, I don't "mean" anything by it.....I was only responding to Enow sooooo maybe you should as him?

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

Sooo you don't want to talk to me because I will not change my stance that Scripture makes it clear that God does NOT forbid the religious use of statues? You don't want to talk to me because I adhere to Scripture??? I hope you realize God forbade the worship of statues, but he did not forbid...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

So it looks like we agree that it is not as easy as calling upon the name of the Lord to become saved (which is what you originally alleged). I agree with you that we must build upon that foundation.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I wish it was as easy as calling upon the name of the Lord to become saved. If it was that simple the bible would be A LOT shorter.... Page 1 of the Bible: Call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved. Page 2 of the Bible: The End

    Are Protestants "saved? "

God demands that we obey his commandments and follow in the footsteps of Jesus AND do what Jesus told us to do. That means it is NOT about us!! It is about Him. Mary

    Are Protestants "saved? "

The question is: Who decides when a verse is taken out of context! My two cents worth....Mary

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

Thank you Cooper. In Exodus 20:3-6 God forbids making graven images for the purpose of idolatry but does not forbid the making of graven images per se. Ex. 25:18-19, Ex. 26:1, Num. 21:8-9, 1 Kings. 6:23, 27-29, 1 Kings. 7:25 and 1 Kings. 7:36 make that clear but since you already know...

    Why do we need priests?

Hi Earburner, It seems you are suggesting that the two that are right will have the Holy Spirit within in them???? I suspect that both groups would believe they have the Holy Spirit within them. I guess we would just have to wait and see which group finally figures out that they THOUGHT they...

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

Thank you. How do you define "idol"? Would a person who lived a holy life and is revered/recognized by The Church (commonly called a saint) as a person who we should look up to be considered an "idol"? A ritual is a religious ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a...

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

If the CC was the original Harlot which Church was the original Church that was not the Harlot? Your beliefs/practices/doctrines, which are a modified version of the CC are not an abomination? You don't see yourself as a child of The Church? Fascinating...

    Are Churches Becoming Too Commercialized??

Thank you. I don't see the commandment to Christians to tithe in that verse so my statement still holds true. Lets put Matthew 5:18 in CONTEXT! VS 17 says Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Then in VS 18 Jesus says...

Do I Have To Go To Church?

Thank you. According to you Scripture is left up to each persons interpretation. Well, Scripture tells you your wrong. The answer I have received from you and others is that each individual member of the church is The Church. CLEARLY that can not be the case since each individual member can...

Do I Have To Go To Church?

Yup....I get it what you are asking. And I have answered. However you have not answered my questions.....:( You like to ask questions but not answer them. I have a relationship with God....Just like you. HOWEVER that has NOTHING to do with interpreting Scripture. Scripture does NOT give me...
