Agreed. Back then then, the NT was not written yet so, they had to "hear" the word through the Apostles and those who followed them. To me, Sola Scriptura is simply filtering everything through scripture. If it does not line up, it goes to God to give understanding, wisdom and knowledge.

When I pray for the un saved, I first pray that The Lord would soften their hearts, so as to be able to receive His Words. A hard heart will hear nothing, IMHO :) But, that's just me, no scripture, sorry. :)
