@Mayflower Yes it does....Sometimes a photo can really set off the wording of a text. A bit like @Pearl's (I think it was hers) recent comment about a jewel set on velvet: the contrast and the sparkle complement each other....

@Pearl Great and apt verse there from Romans 3. When it comes to Christians having a passion for each other, I do think that it's not just a case of locking themselves in a bedroom but first of all also making it public and legal (it doesn't have to be a flamboyant ceremony).

@Mayflower A great chapter, Isaiah 40; and I love parts about the lambs being fed and the word of God enduring for ever; it can be read profitably together with John 10 and 1 Peter 1... :)

@MatthewG Yes, well, it can be a really manly thing for adolescent young men to get accustomed to wearing a pair of thick little rings or chunky ear studs; I guess the idea is that it shows they are growing up. Their moms or sisters might expect sometimes to wear rows of multiple earrings but...

Assumptions in your comment that are not in the text. We can prolong this - and indeed I would encourage reading of the Word indeed - but we do not seem to agree remotely on this. The parable of the sower shows that there are those who receive the word with joy, but have no root and fall away...
