The lens!...yes the lens. I have learned that unless the lens through which Jesus saw the scriptures.....unless we see those same scriptures through the same lens, one will inevitably end up on a deviation. But what does it mean to understand the scriptures through the lens Jesus did?

Death is a consequence.....the consequence of alienation from God. It is not an imposed penalty. Eg....a vehicle designed to run with oil in the engine eventually fails if oil is not used. It does not fail because the designers punish it. Failure is a consequence.
