I personally believe Job was so caught up in his self appointed righteousness he couldn’t see the Lord, could only hear of Him. The thing about God is He abases the proud heart then he has a heart that’s open for truth to shine in.

Precisely he was trying to argue his righteousness through the observance of a law that was in place to bring knowledge to sin. He needed to see the Son, and he did.
