PS: That comparison from 1 Corinthians 15.58 and 2 Corinthians 9.8 would preach well, I think; would make a good message...

@Pearl There's that word 'abound' from Paul again. :) In 1 Corinthians 15.58, Paul speaks of 'always abounding in the work of the Lord', in the light of the victory which believers have in the risen Christ.

...but one can never elevate love, in the saving purposes of God, above revealed truth. The Lord Jesus is indeed full of grace and full of truth (John 1.14).

@Pearl This is why Scriptural fellowship with others is so precious. :) Acts 2.41-42.

@Pearl Frankly - imho - even young men who really want to do it should go ahead and no one should stand in their way - let alone the young or more mature women who do it; and of course there are various styles for various wearers. I just don't get the mindset of those who see it as problematic...

@MatthewG I do think that the Spirit-inspired Scriptures are so rich, that the Spirit of God will not lead anyone at cross-purposes against the Scriptures that He inspired. "Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart." (Psalm 119.111)

@aaronjosephhall Yes, the nature of such work is very much seed sowing, the positive results of which might not be seen for years to come, but which can be done with conviction and prayer.

"All of grace" is for the believer such a profound subject! :)

@Ziggy: Just memorable, right? Something years later that girls remember doing. In the late 70s, moms started getting doubles done when they went to get their daughters' doubles done also. (Boys get theirs done as well. Memorable for them also...) Kind of think that when moms and sisters...
