Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Ok Ferris, Think about this. If you are suggesting that you can go from saved to unsaved....you are going to be struggling with a lot of scriptures. If you are suggesting that you are saved by good deeds....you are going to be struggling with a lot of scriptures. You may go to Hell for not doing...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

You think that is what I am doing? LOL You need to consider what else I could be doing.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Here and in other posts I am concerned....for you....in a manner of distant perspective....because I believe in freedom of religion, but you seem to come to the Bible with an interest in the obscure and confused. The problem with a weaved religion is that it is most likely going to be wrong...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Everything in Heaven and Earth belongs to God. But if you are talking about 10 of the 14 summary of laws in Exodus chaper 20....those are not what God called the Ten Commandments and not what He told Moses to write on the Two Tablets of the Testimony. That is over in chapter 34.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

It is not just ignore it is both sides. There are a lot of scriptures where the Apostle are explaining the sins that prevent you from going to Heaven. And all these have been posted. Christ discusses Hell and if you look at the end of the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats you will see their...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

But if the ministry of death, engraved in letters on stones, came with glory so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, 2nd Corinthians 3:7

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

I guess you do not know that at the time when the discussion about the Bereans appears, the Gospels had not been written yet. There no reference to written Gospels in the Bible. A better resurrection scenario appears in Danial. And God can be a redeemer and He referred to Himself as a redeemer...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

LOL Are you trying to confuse yourself or what? So after releasing us from the Law....do you think Christ came up with more Laws? The problem with Laws....any....anywhere....is that there has never been a body of Laws that have provided a path to salvation. Paul mentions the law of...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

LOL It kind like the guy that brought a knife to a gun fight. The discussion was not about the Old Testament. Of course there was sin in the Old Testament. Were talking about sin as defined in the New Testament. How you define sin in the Old Testament is not what is going to get you to...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

LOL Flush it! Sin before the Law!!! LOL Wrong thinking. We are not under the Law! We are not under any part of the Old Testament. We are under the teachings of Christ. Good is matter of behavior or character....now is that influenced by Christ....I would say yes....Do the scriptures...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

This is what I am talking about....so much can be missed and misunderstood. Bible only....at least you have to understand that leaves out somethings....some very big things. Now I don't think a smart guy like you is going to assume that Paul thinks that being good and doing good is not an...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

What are Christian morals? First off all and all, you have to get rid of the concept of Law. The teachings of Christ are more like a philosophy backed by the authority of God. A matter of the mind and heart. The Law was ridged and unyielding and full of holes. Unlike the Mosaic Law, a Christian...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

We have no Law to transgress.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Neither Christ, nor I or Apostles said the LAW "was do away with" Still there for the Jews. Still there, but they do not apply to Christians. If you knew more about the Mosaic Law, you would know this.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

They are not a fulfillment of the Law....Christ fulfilled the Law....one time and it done. It is a summary and open to opinion, that is why there has to be specifics and examples. As a whole the love God and each other is an overview. How do you show your love of God? How do you show your love...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

    Hold that thought.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Stay on track, we are talking about fulfilling the Law. Even if it was something that you could do....you would only need to do it once. That is why Christ was only crucified once. The Law was fulfilled by Christ and it is done. The Mosaic Law does not apply to Christians. We do not keep...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Yea, but we are not Jews. What did Christ call those that added to the Law....Vipers! This would be seriously incorrect. The morals established in the New Testament are not an addition to anything. They supersede all.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

You need to define fulfill. Is there something you do....that is a fulfill? Or is it kind of like, "I gave at the office." There is a lot more to the morality of the New Testament than this. So I ask, is this the confusion over Christian morals, it it that people do not know Christian morals?
