Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is...

The Gospel is actually good news and here is why.

Amen! The gospel is the “good news” of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To “believe” the gospel is the trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient...

(37 M.V) Faith without works is dead - James 2:14-26

In James 2:14, we read of one who says/claims he has faith but has no works (to evidence his claim). That is not genuine faith, but a bare profession of faith. So when James asks, "Can that faith save him?" he is saying nothing against genuine faith, but only against an empty profession of...

    Lets Define "Works"

Not merely specific “works of the law” but just not other works as I already explained in post #44. So which works are you trusting in for salvation?

    Lets Define "Works"

Good point. I have often asked works-salvationists how many works must they accomplish and “add” as a supplement to Christ’s finished work of redemption in order to “help” Christ save them, yet that question never gets answered. It’s as if God grades on a curve in their minds and all they can do...

    Lets Define "Works"

Paul does not teach that we are saved by “these” works and just not “those” as works-salvationists teach. Se post #44 from the link below: saved by faith alone

    Lets Define "Works"

That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9; 2 Timothy 2 1:9; Titus 3:5 etc..) is not hard to understand. It's just hard for those who trust in works for salvation to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to trust...

    What do SDAs believe?

It certainly can get exhausting arguing with legalists who exploit Christianity in order to promote themselves and their false religion. Enjoy your quiet time at the beach in communion with God.

James versus Paul? Works of the law vs. works of faith

Man is saved through faith and not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9); yet genuine faith is substantiated, evidenced by works (James 2:14-24). Christ saves us through faith based on the merits of His finished work of redemption "alone" and not based on the merits of our works...

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Even when sabbatarians set out to "keep" the sabbath day holy, are they truly keeping the sabbath day holy? To "keep the sabbath day" as it was required in the Old Testament under the old covenant would involve compliance with specific regulations (Exodus 16:23; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah...

    saved by faith alone

I understand perfectly and I thoroughly explained my position that you still cannot seem to grasp. When I say saved through faith in Christ "alone" I mean that we are saved the moment that we place our faith (belief, trust, reliance) in Jesus Christ "alone" for salvation. We are not trusting in...

    saved by faith alone

Amen! No works of the law here and Abraham was BEFORE the law of Moses. Also, when it comes to the moral aspect of the law, we cannot dissect good works from the law and teach that we are saved by "these" works (good works/works of obedience etc..) but just not "those" works (works of the law)...

    saved by faith alone

Salvation through faith (rightly understood) in Christ alone does not exclude repentance and grace. You still don't understand. Repentance precedes saving faith in Christ (Acts 20:21) and those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation have already repented in the process...
