    Malachi the Prophet

@Truman Interesting that both Malachi and Matthew 13 have a time period context before the beginning of the church age...

    Malachi the Prophet

@Ziggy I love those verses; and like you quoted they do seem to come over especially well in the King James.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Ziggy Well, there is of course a strong demand for both services. Especially ears. The fact that there is usually a restriction below age 18 for tattoos means that some piercings come first in ppl's experience. More and more parents do seem to take teens to tattoo parlors for their ear...

    Malachi the Prophet

@Ziggy Malachi is a wonderful little prophecy. 3.16 shows how God's pilgrim people can encourage one another for the glory of the Lord's name. :)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

The video shows how the artist has a clientele, and his parlor has a particular atmosphere that is distinct. A young lady talks about her next tattoo plan which is to be based on Romans 8.

    Doctrines of Demons???

So where are the Levites now to give supposedly compulsory tithes to? (again, if ppl want to give freewill offerings of more than a tenth, more power to them...)

    Encouraging verses

@Marvelloustime Philippians 4.8: What a wholesome verse in that Epistle of Joy! :)

    What Is The Cross!

A lot of sound and solemn doctrine is involved in a subject such as this thread raises.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Heart2Soul Even as it's now pursued exceedingly widely and even as it has opened up tremendously for women to pursue really confidently - not least already in the Victorian era - I guess the clinching factor for many Christians may be to use the tattoo parlor for faith based tattoos with the...

    Hungry

@Wynona Psalm 63 is relevant also :) : "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. 3 Because thy lovingkindness...

    Something to think about

    Your favorite Psalm?

@marks Thanks also for the recent Psalm comments on the other thread...

"I quite like males with earrings": a low-key, respectful discussion

Hi @Ziggy (from back a bit) Well, both seem strongly preferred, according to the person. There's the classic, traditional single pairs of loops that are sometimes almost shoulder-huggers. And then there are the smaller - sometimes even tiny - studs that are often rammed in as multiples along...

    Tongues

I do strongly feel an emphasis on Scripture and prayer is really essential...

"I quite like males with earrings": a low-key, respectful discussion

@Wynona Oh, @Truman said he had his ear done years ago.... PS: Did you see/vote in the poll, above?

I'm appealing to all of you,

@marks Yes, in Psalm 141 it's the Psalmist's eyes in view. In Psalm 32 it's the Lord's eye on the Psalmist in view.

"I quite like males with earrings": a low-key, respectful discussion

@Wynona FYI, did you see this thread? As mentioned to Addy, doubles (or multiple holes) have been quite the trend for years and years. But so is minimalism...all those now long grown up teens with multiple holes from years back, who now prefer completely bare earlobes... Lots of men and boys...
