    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

it is done out of obligation as opposed to ones heart being drawn out for relationship.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

who knows.....but it could be to categorise. Once categorisation has occurred one does not need to consider what is being said.....one can effortlessly slot that person into the irrelevant/ mislead/ heretic category or one can consider it seriously, depending which category a person has been...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

So there ya go, you don't see it! Here's an attempt to change that :) ...Who created the Sabbath? ..the Creator did. Who is the Creator? Jesus! Colossians 1:16 (check the context) 'For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I don't think the argument for a corrupted Sabbath would be difficult to establish at all. It was corrupted all through Hebrew history as were many of the instruction given to them. The corruption in Jewish understanding of the things of God reached its zenith when they killed the very one who...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Jesus was using their understanding to counter their own logic......and then trumping it with a view which infuriated them (that he was Lord of the Sabbath, implying he created it....which he did, for the purpose of fellowship. Keep in mind that the disciples are being exposed to an...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

We all connect the dots about many things in many ways....if we didn't we'd be wiping our backside and putting it back on the plate.....forgive the crude analogy. Joining the dots well differentiates between the fool and the wise man. Every preacher who delivers a sermon attempts to join the...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

A passing comment here HIM.....You call it a Jewish Sabbath when in fact it was a Sabbath given to man well before any Jews existed. This needs sorting out otherwise you connect things in error.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I think it's joining the dots in favour of a God who desires intimate relationship with his creation.....not because he's obligated but because he is emotionally connected/involved with them.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Jesus was saying his judgement on the matter was superior to theirs (the religious accusers) He wasn't justifying any error in his disciples. He was exonerating his mates from the accusations of the religious tight shorts.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

The day after A&E were created God put the next day aside....what for?....did he need rest.....was he who holds countless worlds and the whole created order throughout the Universe exhausted?.....I don't think so. I think he created it so that he could spend special time with them, for example...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

The Sabbath and Marriage were instituted in Eden not as part of any moral Law ....these where instituted before Man fell. Let's take marriage....a commitment to love each other in a special personal way Let's take Sabbath....a day God committed to them so he could be with them in a special way...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

well, allow me to make this point; it was the religious folk who deemed the disciples were profaning the Sabbath.....Jesus didn't think so. The perception the religious folk was messed up.....ultimately they were in error in their conclusions.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Well, the 35,000 year thing is a new one on me....which means I have no idea what you mean. I look at it like this...In a perfect environment where all is harmony there is no call for laws that don't apply. Laws which challenge a persons poor or evil inclinations are in place because a problem...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

could it be they were given because men had a confused sense of right and wrong....for instance, in a perfect situation where harmony existed why would one need laws like don't steal, don't kill, don't be unfaithful etc?

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I couldn't see any relevance to the question in post #92

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

The 10 Commandments are FOREVER did they exist prior to creation?

    Politics and violence

'this generation'....he was referring to the generation that sees the signs he was talking about....not the generation he was speaking to 2000 years ago!
