    Premature posting . . . ignore please

... Wait a minute. It stopped hailing. Guys are swimming. Guys are sailing. Playing baseball. Gee, that's better. Muddah, faddah, kindly disregard this letter...! --Allan Sherman

    The number of the beast

So, is all of that a round-about way to identify Judaism as your preferred basis for spirituality...? (I am mildly autistic. You will have to draw me a picture.)

    The number of the beast

So, what do you call "abiding in Christ," if not Christianity...?

    The number of the beast

Nor do I. Even though they [& we] died just as He said they would, He initiated a rescue mission from that very moment [Genesis 3:15]...! Are you willing to be Rescued?

    The number of the beast

I'm fairly certain that you are not the Antichrist, without seeking out a verse to confirm it... It sounds like you have issues, to be sure, but none of them change the context in Revelation 13 (that we CAN understand).

    The number of the beast

That is incorrect on three fronts: The passage says that it is quantitatively 666 (that is, 600 + 60 + 6), not just three sixes strung together. His (full) name and the number of his name are two distinct versions of the MoB. That means that the former won't have any numerically relevant...

My wife liked it, too. (I thought that the voice sounded like Grover.)

    Tokyo Introduces Transparent Toilet Rooms

If a person leaves a mess, everyone will see it when they are done... (There was no room for a sink in those stalls...) So everyone can see that there are no weirdos present, prior to use. It is not one-way glass. It is opaque in both directions.

    Tokyo Introduces Transparent Toilet Rooms

I like the idea that you can verify there are no weirdos lurking there before going in. But it would be embarrassing if you clogged the toilet with no way to fix it...

    The number of the beast

Before you try to identify "the Beast," it would really be worth your while to figure out how you will survive his reign, in the long-term.* (Otherwise, you will just be watching a train-wreck without being able to do anything about it...) *Know God

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

Hyper- = "too much" or "exaggerated" (That is not a good thing.) Maybe radical patriarchy would be a better term...?

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

That use of "complementarianism" is hyper-patriarchy in "sheep's" clothing.

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

You can Google it, but I don't recall any such verse. I would say no, that no one has read such a verse. I can think of two verses that sound similar but are unrelated to the spiritual gifts. (BTW, why are you asking this in a Patriarchy thread...? )

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

That is only half of the basic question. The other half is "How does He intend for us to get there...?" Paul wrote, "Wives, do this..." and "Husbands, do this..." Not being a wife, I hear, "Husbands, do this..." You seem to be hearing, "Husbands, do [this] and make sure your wife does...

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

If you are doing it right, you are doing so out of love & trust for Him (that you have grown into). Even without the threat of Hell, I know that God's ways are superior to mine. My only fear, right now, is if I choose my wisdom over His, it will likely cost me money or, at least, peace &...

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

Are you making my point for me, that the speaker being a woman does not disqualify her from speaking...?

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

Therein lies the problem. You deny your wife's agency when it is not your place to do so. Women will be blessed if/when they do things God's way --just like we men will be blessed, if/when we do things God's way-- but that blessing can only occur when we surrender to His will, not by doing so...

Was Paul Right About Women In Church?

That issue just depends on who is better at handling money. It could be either one. Or both. Worst case, neither.
