Why do the self taught preach an incomplete gospel?

There is nothing false about believing and receiving. John 1:12 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. If you truly believed then you would understand this. I don't teach works salvation. As I have said numerous...

Why do the self taught preach an incomplete gospel?

So it's not just me. ;) Amen! In James 2:19, we see that the demons "believe" (pisteuo) "mental assent" that "there is one God," but they do not have faith in/confidence in/trust in/reliance upon Jesus Christ for salvation. In other words, they do not believe (pisteuo) on the Lord Jesus Christ...

Why do the self taught preach an incomplete gospel?

Amen! The TRUE GOSPEL of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) which the apostle Paul received through a revelation of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11-12) Beware of false teachers who...

Why do the self taught preach an incomplete gospel?

Amen! It's common for works-salvationists to confuse the one-time event of justification with the process of ongoing sanctification. The end result is "performance based" works salvation.

Not by works - but by faith

Multi-step formulas for salvation generally culminate in salvation by works.

Not by works - but by faith

Amen! Sadly, his indoctrination runs deep and he just doesn't have ears to hear. :( The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3,4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to...

Not by works - but by faith

Your 10 step plan of salvation culminates in salvation by faith + works, which also explains why you are so hostile towards OSAS.

Not by works - but by faith

In regards to the words, "once enlightened" which means to bring to light, to shed light upon or to cause light to shine upon some object, in the sense of illuminating it. John 1:9 describes Jesus as the "true Light," giving light "to every man," but this can't mean the light of salvation...

Not by works - but by faith

OSAS being a cult is extreme. I know multiple believers in the OSAS camp who attend various Christian churches, yet there are multiple false religions and cults that strongly oppose OSAS, so should we say that NOSAS is a cult?

Not by works - but by faith

Romans 10:9 - that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart (and not just in your head) that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Not by works - but by faith

Some people turn be faithful into salvation by works, yet others, turn it into continuing in faith. Permanently fall away from the Lord, yet saved regardless? I would not equate that with salvation through faith.

Regeneration before or after saving faith

I believe that regeneration immediately follows believing the gospel and not before. (Ephesians 1:13) In regards to empowering us to believe, in John 6:44, we read - "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." In verse 65, we read -...

Regeneration before or after saving faith

Nothing happens he says. Ephesians 1:13 - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. So believed followed by sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise equates...

Not by works - but by faith

Many indeed! (Matthew 7:22-23) There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers. There are many people who are "religious," but not right with God who push salvation by works.

Not by works - but by faith

Amen! Salvation is not probation. Eternal life is not temporary life. Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.

    Evangelicals and the Sabbath

I can clearly see that you are deeply deceived. :( I pray that the Lord will open your eyes to the truth. Here are some links to articles below that may help open your eyes to the truth: Sabbatismos Ministries: Finding Our Rest in Christ - Is the Sabbath Still Required for Christians? The...

    IS ALL SIN FORGIVEN ?

Notice that - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (vs. 9) is IN CONTRAST TO - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (vs. 8) and - If we say that we have...

Will Churches be closed due to Pandemic.

Where I live, there have been some church closings and schools have already announced no school through the end of March. (that has now been extended to mid April) Multiple events have been canceled in the area and restaurants and bars are closing earlier. The Mayor of a major city near us has...

Not by works - but by faith

Very true, yet you don’t offer the only way to connect with Christ and continuing to argue with someone who refuses to accept the truth is a waste of time.
