Can You Lose Your Salvation ?

I don't believe the bible offers unconditional guarantees. There are a lot of qualifying "ifs" that go along with the promises. So if Jesus once saves us from the lure of sin...does that mean you will never again be lured into sin??? So our experiences line up with the bible. I don't know of any...

    Quick question

This is a very "religious" viewpoint you are stating. No one can be guaranteed of anything by their own beliefs. What is this "get to heaven" comment? A relationship with God is possible and advisable at this present time in order to live with God in the future age.

Can You Lose Your Salvation ?

I would term what you have written as Christian belief...not just Catholic belief.

    What is faith?

It is looking beyond the visible things, situations, and current understandings for the truth.

    Nationalism As A Religion

Most people are unaware of the syncretism they are engaging in with the strong nationalism that is so popular today.

What Is A Birth From Above?

A close encounter of the third kind...with God! :) You are using the idea metaphorically rather than experientially. Is Mozart raised from the dead every time his music is played? Is that the essence of the biblical message? Being born from above means that Christ has regenerated your spirit...

    Do Dogs Have Souls ?

Dogs have a very limited soul. They are unable to contain spiritual things. So that is why those who are so limited among men are referred to as dogs...in the sense of not being able to grasp higher things.

    Inwardly they are Ravaging Wolves

Lambs are gentle...wolves growl when provoked or read something they don't like.

    Paralyzed By Grace

Amen! You are referring to the "cheap grace" that spoils rather than sanctifies. But the carnal man seeks to be saved and will twist the word so as to please the flesh. But as you say...grace is a divine enabling...an enablement to get on with conquering the self and then the world for Christ.

    Galatians 5

We are not to accomplish the law through our own efforts. The law does not provide it's own power. It's like "batteries not included". But through Christ we DO accomplish the law. Christ fulfills the law in us so that we remain as He is. We know that we are in Christ when we no longer think or...

    how to discern the false

People who become convinced of something they read in the bible...then formulate an opinion on it...should be equally ready to question their certainty when another verse destroys or tempers the logic of the previously held opinion. Truth is always the resolution of a tension between two...

do the ends justify the means?

    And who decides this?

do the ends justify the means?

Christianity in this life is a means...and only a means.

    Sanctification

This is true. Jesus Christ provides the purity...no spot or wrinkle. The trials produce maturity....so we are learning to better hold onto the purity through trials that produce a maturity. It is in this regard (maturity) that we are striving to attain the full stature (in maturity growth) of...

Jesus stands at the cave entrance and coughs

Maybe there should be 200 versions of the bible in every language! ;) It is hard to say...but a living bible is prone to change the expressions that were understandable in an ancient time into more modern ones in order to get the meassage across. So yes, as long as one states that it is an...

Regeneration is Not the Same Thing as Initial Salvation?

A human position will always seek to void some scriptures in order to uphold the few scriptures that seem to back up their point. Regeneration of the Spirit is the first step in a process that leads to a full maturity in Christ. So then salvation is both an event and a process...

    Mary, Jesus' mother.

Mary is referred to as God's handmaid...Jesus Himself as Son of His handmaid. Psa_116:16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. But no reference to mother....
