How to be a man in Christ

What does it mean to be a man in Christ? My opinion is it simply means that your greatest desire is that Christ lives through and is seen through you, this to me implied to be in subjection to all esteeming all as better than self, not stating this is something I've achieved but we are working...

How to be a man in Christ

It's only my opinion of course, but what I see in scripture is an image of a man humbling himself and taking on the role of a servant. He not only serves esteeming others above himself, but also loves this bride without condition, I believe this is performed only in obedience to the first part of...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Who do you believe the man that penned the epistle of James was Brother of Jesus Son of Zebedee?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

One other thing I believe that needs to be addressed as pertaining to the social climate at the time Brother James wrote this inspired epistle, is that to be a Christian most likely would mean the religious rulers at the time could cease all your possessions.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

It truly is amazing to see Paul modeling Christ in all of the new testament epistles he wrote. Galatians 4:14 KJV And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. My wife had posted this scripture on the thread (...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Can we take the spoiling of our goods joyfully. When the primary message seems to be, increase your goods. My understanding is the church there in Jerusalem that James was overseeing was literally starving.

  16. Waiting on him

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

My opinion is James is only implying works will be a product of salvation, and the letter was written in perilous times.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Well, the brethren are the church. Not the same church we see today. So many times I see disputing over what James letter is stating, my question is Whom is his audience?
