Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

You judge too quickly Josh and you are too sure of your judgement. There are in fact experiences I could tell of yet your hoop jumping demand is hardly motivation to share them. Do you attempt in this exercise to use psychological manipulation to get a story and if it is not forthcoming feel...

Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

The emotions which well up when I am offended can be directed in either of two primary ways. I can retaliate with the natural response of either physical, emotional or psychological battle in an attempt to get the upper hand or I can remind myself whose child I am. I can choose to see them as...

    lost a friend

There are many reasons friendships break down tl_p. I also have experienced this stuff and I ask my self, what was my role in the breakdown? If after much soul searching I can honestly say to myself, the issue is not mine, there is not a great deal I can do and the responsibility rests with the...

Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

In all things Jesus is preeminent. We do not influence God to forgive us because we forgive...it is the other way around....we forgive because we have been forgiven. Turning the order around is the objective of the devil and it sets precedents which result in focus on self.

    Jesus Second Coming

Truth7t7 I think your rational and interpretation is so far off course you have lost yourself in the fantasy. Anyway, I'm not expecting you to accept this view but I needed to say it. God will not withhold insight providing people don't insist on plastering their opinion over his words and...

Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

I think Jesus was praying for all who were involved in his execution. It is consistent with his teaching of loving those who persecute you and doing good to those who despitefully use you.....so you may be sons of your Father in heaven. It is the highest bar if we can use that expression. The...

Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

I'm trying to figure out what it is in my post that isn't true

What if found the crown of thorns Jesus wore/what would you do with them

nothing blasphemous about burning thorns; why, most think it is acceptable for God to fry people unendingly....now that's blasphemous!

Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

The paralytic let down through the roof on a mat didn't ask for for anything yet Jesus not only forgave him but had him skipping out of there. The lost coin had no clue it was lost....yet it was found. The prodigal son figured he was on a winner if he could be a servant but the Father wouldn't...

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Working out and keeping context is singularly important. Roman 5:12-18 also illustrates the in Adam/ in Christ of humanity. Hebrews 2 speaks of the superiority of the Son to angels and his relationship to men......no conflict there.

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

1 Corinthians 15:22 'for as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.'

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

All have that privilege Tong....not all see its value. How God sees and how we as people see is miles apart. The revealing of Jesus tells me God desires all people to see as he sees.....and not only sees but feels. Here is a quote from a favourite author I thought as pertinent. Those who think...

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

yes, I understood you were just pulling legs. I thought I'd use the opportunity to touch on some of my personal stuff.

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

It's not a matter of debate for me Tong. God has overwhelmingly displayed his character in the story of Jesus. The good news for all peoples knocking on each individual door delivering unparalleled acceptance in the beloved. Sadly, those who dismiss it never see its breathtaking beauty and for...

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

Well, this is how I see it.....when someone tells me they love me, irrespective of how they say it.....I lap it up. I've never been in a situation where I've been told too often. I'll share something....For most of my life I have lived with a poor self image, in fact I have believed I was ugly...

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Below is a dictionary definition which as I understand it is the standard understanding of those I see arguing it. I do not see the God revealed in Jesus or spoken of by the apostles including Paul taking this line. predestination | priːˌdɛstɪˈneɪʃ(ə)n | noun [mass noun] (in Christian theology)...

When the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth

Not 'the church' but could it be 'a church'. Could it be deducted that if a pure church is represented by a pure woman then an apostate church is aptly represented as an impure woman? I think so.

Awww CL...you can say that to me any day.

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

I don't have a particular take which I parade on predestination. God loves; that defines him. 1 Corinthians 13 gives us a window into love's qualities....verse 5 stands out for me "keeps no record of wrongs'.....consider the implications of that.
