Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Truman the Levite Maybe your dear mom would have let you do your ear in due course anyway... (So many moms do.)

    Faith working through love….

@Truman the Levite We need to be open to giving people the Scriptures; if they drift away, our door can remain open if they come back...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

Hi @Angelina 1 Timothy 3.16 is another great testimony to the Incarnation! :)

    Faith working through love….

    Indeed... :)

    Faith working through love….

Hi @Not me Romans 14.17 is a similar verse, I reckon... "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

I think it's easy to underestimate the sheer restraining influence of the Holy Spirit in a rebellious and wicked world...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@VictoryinJesus You have talked a bit in the past about your daughter; so how is she doing? spiritually? ink-wise, thus far? (the two not necessarily related, although some ppl's faith is reflected in their ink).

Jesus' Return.....in the Air ....on the Mountain

@VictoryinJesus It's the phrase used in 1 Thess. 4, right?
  11. F

    Why Fast?

@VictoryinJesus There's also Romans 1`4.17: "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."
  12. F

    Why Fast?

@VictoryinJesus I guess it's a matter of degrees of fasting. For example, a preacher studying for meetings might opt to do without a meal while spending several hours in Bible study.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomi25 I guess you've not seen it yet; but I suppose the question would also be, Does your daughter know yet that her aunt had it done? :)

Why I believe in the rapture.

There is also the matter of who is being spoken of in any given passage: Jews, Gentiles or the church of God (1 Corinthians 10.32). :)

Why don't we say, 'in the name of Mary"?

    John 14.6. 1 Timothy 2.5

It boils down to what the church is for, right? Is it to be a Gospel testimony to hurting, sinful people who need to change inwardly and spiritually rather than to be all about being "correct"?

The Lord Jesus Christ never drank alcohol - THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IN ANY FORM IS A SIN!

Can't you see that I'm not arguing against the miracle?

The Lord Jesus Christ never drank alcohol - THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IN ANY FORM IS A SIN!

When Fundies - for their own reasons - try to claim the Lord Jesus did not turn the water into wine, the liberals can reply and say, Well, now you guys can agree with us after all that it wasn't a miracle...
  19. F

    Why Fast?

Hi @VictoryinJesus In the end, if done, it's a Godward exercise rather than something to do before other people, right?

What are you listening to right now? (strictly Christian & clean family)

Good to keep up a musical instrument, right? (I've neglected the piano, really that I used to play a lot...)
