    Who’s interpretation is true?

Hi DPM, Didn't you just interpret scripture to come to that conclusion? I thought that "Jesus the Word of God made flesh is the authority" to interpret scripture? Your interpretation is true as long as there is no authority present to supersede your interpretation. Mary

    freewill is bogus

Hi aspen, I don't understand the "Christ must approach us first" theory. Christ is available at all times and always. Just like His father. How does Christ approach us? IHS...Mary

    Who’s interpretation is true?

Hi DPM, You seem to be suggesting that we need authority to interpret scripture. If so, who's authority is TRUE when interpreting scripture? If you are not suggesting that, disregard this post. ;) Mary

Really? Faith is required? Faith in what? Curious Mary

    freewill is bogus

Hi aspen, James 5:16 says we can confess our sins to each other. John 20 gave the power to forgive sins to the apostles and logically by apostolic succession it was given to other men. Neither say anything about being approached by Christ first. Are you sure we have to confess our sins to...

    freewill is bogus

As long as we are alive we can choose good. Atheist. Muslim. Agnostic. Mentally ill. Even if you never heard of Jesus like the people in the remote jungles of the Amazon . It doesn't matter. Grace is given; it is not earned. ALL are living in a state of grace. A person who is in mortal sin can...

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

Dear dear KBCid, You mean kind of like the questions you asked in post #175, 179, 218, 224, 303, 332???? Are you the pot calling the kettle black? A hypocrite? I hope not. So, once again I ask: Since there was no question mark at the end of my sentence that means it was a statement. Is that...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Dear friend, Do some research. There is no such quote from Marcellus. You should refer to reliable websites or history books to form your beliefs. Your faith thru grace alone statement is not true. Please provide evidence that "all churches were once in solidarity of thought" on that subject...

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

What I have posted is not a discussion about sola Scriptura. I have moved on. You haven't. There were three questions in my post (#333). Are you going to answer them? Curious Mary

Sola Scriptura - does this foundation make you a heretic

I have moved on. I have given you the truth about the sola Scriptura theory. You can accept it or deny it. Since there was no question mark at the end of my sentence that means it was a statement. Is that the concept you are talking about? Basic sentence construction? And you suggest I have...

It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

My dear, dear Jun2u, You didn't answer any of my questions. Why? How can I be right about our discussion being over when I never said our discussion was over? You ask a question and then tell me our discussion is over. I guess that means I am allowed one more response. The answer to your...

It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

MIGHT come to the conclusion that water baptism saves? That's the best response you've got? Seriously? Scripture says it saves but you say it MIGHT come to that conclusion? Fascinating. Hmmmm.....I have a bias about communion but you don't? Are you being serious? I bet you agree with your own...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

My dear young man. What church does not have intrigue, murder, deceit and blasphemy. Those are acts committed by the men of the church, not The Church itself. Those actions make the men of The Church bad, it doesn't make The Church bad. Please take the time to educate yourself about your...

Favorite Bible Verse of the Day!...

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

Dear tabletalk, I don't understand the point your trying to make. You are only re-enforcing my point. Is that your goal? I quoted the portion that is relevant; BAPTISM SAVES YOU. Nothing in that verse says that baptism DOESN'T save you so why fully quote it? If you want to use the KJV then...
