Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Addy Although I don't say that everyone ought to get tattooed (it's an individual thing, very much), my wife and I talked to a young lady - and I talked to a young man - with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on their wrist area and arm, respectively. Doubtless the fact that they endured getting...

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Hi @Addy Hebrews 7.12 says the law was changed. Hebrews 7.19 says that what we now have is better - a keyword in Hebrews - than the law. :)

    Freedom To Sin

@Addy The resounding note with which an assuring passage such as Romans 8 ends should dispel any notion that the true believer is supposedly not eternally secure...

    Your favorite Psalm?

@Addy The Psalm fits well with Hebrews 13.20-21, right? :) "20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Heart2Soul Re. what you said, seems anyway like plenty of effort is being made to dispel that past reputation. QueenCat said: forums dot thewelltrainedmind dot com FHII said: ↑ I think you probably also would welcome those efforts to dispel it, right?

The Spirituality of Christian Guards at the Vulnerable City Wall

@Pearl Prayer is a foundational activity in Acts 2.42. :)

    Is smoking a sin?

@Pearl Spurgeon smoked; and he was a great servant of the Lord. The fact that he smoked does not prove anything one way or another; but it reminds us that there are deep doctrinal issues with which he was identifies which are really not related to whether or not a Christian man or woman smokes.

Who is Jesus' Father? HS or the Father?

@Pearl God in Three Persons is indeed a revealed mystery in Scripture.

    Is smoking a sin?

@Pearl We indeed don't looking to an earthly governing body; rather, as led by the Spirit, we acknowledge the Lord Himself as 'head over all things to th church, which is His body' (Ephesians 1).

Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

...but it was faith that saved; it wasn't the act of baptism, which is symbolic.

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 I guess the question revolves around whether in Scripture Israel and the church are really one and the same entity. (1 Corinthians 10.32).

@Emily Write FYI....good to see you on the forums.

    Isaiah 1: 1 to 27 and John 4:1 to 5:47

There is indeed such a unity between the message of the Old and New Testaments, isn't there? even though the church and Israel are distinct.

    Christian Books

@Emily Write: Perhaps you also know that hymn by John Bunyan? "He who would valiant be, 'Gainst all disaster, Let him in constancy / Follow the Master. / There's no discouragement / Shall make him once relent / His first avowed intent / To be a pilgrim." (....which fits in with the title of his...

    Hello

@Emily Write Good to see you; and yes, what you say is indeed true in the light of Peter's exhortation to 'grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ'. :)
