    Secure Eternal Salvation

Well you can think what you wish, I will accept what is written as written without people adding their thoughts. That has been the bane of Christianity down through the centuries- people adding their own thoughts and before long, they become part of the narrative.

    Secure Eternal Salvation

Well I went back and looked up core beliefs of gnosticism- eternal security is not one of them. salvation through ascending through the levels of "gnosis" is. I would like to see your reference for gnostics and eternal security, as is spelled out in Scripture.

    Secure Eternal Salvation

Now go and learn exactly what jesus said. believeth is the present active participle--which because it is in the present believes is rendered believed! If Jesus meant that one has to keep on believing over and over and over again He would have inspired a different construct. this construct...

    Secure Eternal Salvation

Show a verse that says He can and then we can for further. and you ad- hominem not withstanding- Jesus said I give them eternal life (present) and they shall NEVER perish. If you could take yourself out of jesus hand, you would pluck yourself . Or are you going to not pick because it says...

So I assume you do not eat shellfish, pork, do not mix fabrics, keep the feast of tabernacles, first fruits, passover, pentecost etc.etc.

    Secure Eternal Salvation

It is found in the chapters entitles "The letter to the Hebrews". Then read the whole book and see what the writer is contrasting Jesus to- the Mosaic Law and the sacrifical system in it! Seriously, how long have you been saved??????

    Secure Eternal Salvation

So I assume if your children are rebellious, you take them to the city gates and stone them? that is a command of god and is in the Bible. I assume you do not eat shellfish, or pork. These are also in the bible.

If The Kingdom isn't here yet then what is JESUS CHRIST a King of?

Yes! and no there is no problem. This is not Jesus" kingdom, but the Fathers! Yes Jesus is risen but has yet to sit on the throne, He is at the right hand of the Father. The heavenly kingdom belongs to God the Father. It is the millennial kingdom that Jesus reigns as king over! At the end...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Wrong it is the term used by the very people who use dynamic equivalent. Proponents coined the term. You should take the time to learn. QUOTE="Wrangler, post: 1171394, member: 9929"]There are many translations I’ve never read and have no opinion on. This is one. it is revealing that you...

If The Kingdom isn't here yet then what is JESUS CHRIST a King of?

Don't have to. Unless you have some very subtle point you are trying to make.
  14. Ronald Nolette

If The Kingdom isn't here yet then what is JESUS CHRIST a King of?

No because that was not what happened. Jesus was crucified and suffered in our place! He was judged and condemned for our sins, IOW He took our place. He suffered in the infinite depths of God forsakenness what all men would have to suffer in the eternity of time.

A NEW TAKE ON THE AOD

Well Jesus was more specific than that. First He spoke and made it clear He was speaking of a person. Second, He would stand in the Holy Place. Third a temple will be rebuilt. The fact that God records Israel sacrificing again, doe snot mean God accepts those sacrifices. Fourth: Paul confirms...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Well then let me ask. Do you believe the New world Translation of the Scriptures written and edited by the Watchtower bible and Tract Society, is a faithful English translation of the original Greek and Hebrew? Yes or no is all that is needed.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Anyone who studies. If yu wish I can list all my "credentials". But anyone with internet access, can study an English bible and by using the toold freely available can tell if the English translationw as faithful to the originals or not! It is not hard. It just takes diligence and study.
  18. Ronald Nolette

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

How so? by simply using the term that others coined to describe what they do? It is not name calling, it is simply repeating what form of "scholarship" in translating is done. Even dynamic equivalent bibles call themselves that! So if I say what they themselves say, about themselves I am...

If The Kingdom isn't here yet then what is JESUS CHRIST a King of?

Well we live in the kingdom "attitude" so to speak, but the kingdom has not yet been established. Jesus is currently not King yet! He is still in His role as High Priest, for Scripture clearly says that Jesus lives not to make intercession for us. He is granted His Kingship right before He...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

And that is sad. God inspired the original writers, not the editors! With this philosophy, how can you say the New World Translation is a terrible bible that should not be used?
