Reconciling Romans 4:2 with James 2:24

well if this is true, we may as well throw all of Pauls writings out. Because paul continually taught that it is by grace we have been saved not by works period.. Even going so far as to say it is not even our works of righteousness which save us but Gods mercy (titus 3: 5)

Reconciling Romans 4:2 with James 2:24

sadly, they fail to realise. James asked the question. What does it profit (gain or help) a person if they CLAIM to have faith.... he never once said they had faith, He called their claimed faith lifeless. dead. non existent. Paul said we are saved by grace through faith. If there is no...

    this makes no sense

    OSAS....love it....hate it

this is confusing, who swears? I am not swearing I am saved, I am basing my salvation on the word that I head., the hope which God promised. and my faith in that word and promise My salvation is based on christ, who swore and oath to believers and gave us his spirit as a pledge until the day...

    OSAS....love it....hate it

those are not the grave sins according to human thinking. so these people can claim sinlessness while at the same time the sin of pride and judgment is open for those truly looking to see.. In sin they reject their own teaching

    OSAS....love it....hate it

from what I have witnessed, Most people who hate it hate it because they hate calvinism. and they think it is a calvinist term. I prefer eternal security or eternal life over OSAS myself. even though technically they all means the same thing

Beheaded OSAS: Soul Separation from the Body

Eternal life is a promise made by Jesus Christ, It is given to those who believe, It is promised in John 3, John 4 John 5 John 6 to name but a few. John says we have it, not only that we have it, but we can know we have it. And by this knowledge continue to believe (hope) Feel free to try to...

Beheaded OSAS: Soul Separation from the Body

I am amazed at all the new threads @robert derrick opened with his anti osas hate, where he proves time and time again, he does not even understand what OSAS is or what those who believe in eternal security believe

Beheaded OSAS: Soul Separation from the Body

so eternal life based on grace through faith is a man made invention? Who are the people justifying sin? I think you better look inside my friend..

    What Does OSAS Condemn?

osas condemns 1. Licentious gospel (easy believism) 2. Legalistic gospel (I must gain or maintain my salvation by my works) OSAS teaches what Paul taught, we are saved by grace THROUGH FAITH and that those saved will produce works (fruit)

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

The sinner is the lost. The unsaved. The righteous is the saved, As I said. I do not look to the law. The law led me to christ. That was its purpose. I am no longer looking for Christ.. Again, I look to the law of love.. WHen I see I did nto love. I know I have sinned. Whether I broke a...

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

look at what you just posted. The law is NOT for a righteous man. Who are the righteous? The saved, Who are the lawless, The lost. The law is for the lost. Those who have yet to be led to Christ as the tutor or schoolmaster. The law can not help you. Once again, at best it can give you a...

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

I am not sure. I try not to get into all the reformed/baptist/catholic calvin etc discussions. I would rather just talk about the word and what it says.

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

The law had one purpose. and one purpose only Gal 3; 19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not mediate for...

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

the abraham covenant came before the law.. It is the way we always should have lived.. Even david, when he was confronted with sin. Showed how it was not the law God desired. it was his heart (sacrifice and burnt offering you did not desire)
  19. Eternally Grateful

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

Amen,,,,the law was given to lead us to Christ, to expose our sin. Not to teach us how to stop sin and live moral lives.

Under the Law is a curse, not Doing the Law

you were BORN DEAD. the law did not MAKE YOU DEAD
