Can no one see the correlation between Stephens cry for mercy, and the fact Paul was his oppressor?

The merciful will receive mercy. Don’t recall Jesus asking to be snatched away. “Give them what they deserve”??? Stephen? Paul? Any Christian in the written word?? Why is this on the hearts of so many Christians today? Why such a lack of mercy?

The only thing I can see that comes close to the word rapture, is when Christ in MATTHEW says the violent take it by force.

Mercy.

I pray for mercy for all. I’m sure Paul had this same view, who wasted the church in ignorance and unbelief.

Would mercy here be a more excellent way? Would the Apostle Paul have this view?
