What is highly esteemed among men?

The story of the ten virgins... towards the end the foolish wanted oil from the wise...it was not given because it was not possible.

    Jesus as a Stumblingstone

Wisdom is justified by all her children. When man attempts in his wisdom to understand God, God uses what man calls foolishness to save those who believe the straight testimony. It is evident with the too-ing and fro-ing of irrelevancies in various topics of this board that fog justifies mans...

    Conversion after death

ALL who ever came before me were thieves and robbers - Jesus

We need to be careful that faith is not interpreted as cavalier. Giving a straight testimony does not qualify as unkind or unfeeling but it does cut through the emotional fog and muddle associated with our diminishing.

    Outer Darkness

It is hardly a reed Enoch and the story of Lazarus and the rich man is precisely there to illustrate that if they do not believe Moses and the prophets, in other words, the word of God he inspired men to write, then one wouldn't believe even if one who rose from the dead.

    Books about heaven and hell.

The ability to sense on the various internal surfaces of the anatomy, for instance inside the blood vessels or the breathing passages or bowels and being able to direct those sensations at will. In fact any internal surface of the body.

    Miracles in an instant

Didn't God create the world with a word? He spoke and it was done.

    Books about heaven and hell.

The mind is capable of phenomena that defies logic. I can attest to this from personal experience. Where ever people think they go and come back is an element of this phenomena. Nobody goes to heaven or hell and comes back. This is a delusion or an outright lie.

    Outer Darkness

The scripture is abundantly clear. The dead know nothing. They go nowhere, their consciousness has ceased while they await a resurrection either for life at the return of Jesus or for the second resurrection and the second death, consumed by fire till till they vanish. I'd say that is outer...

    Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

You can be certain the vultures will gather if what is said from the floor doesn't flatter.

I have never understood why Christians are so afraid of death. Irrespective of how you understand what happens at death, isn't it the case that a better place is waiting? If a better place is waiting, then why not welcome it? Won't it mean that the toils and burdens of this life will be over...

    Jesus as a Stumblingstone

There are certain understandings which are keys to unlocking the language and meaning (intent) of scripture. Without them fanciful interpretations have and will abound till Jesus returns. Understanding comes only as the heart submits, allowing God to teach, all else is ego out of control.

What is highly esteemed among men?

An open heart drinks in what God presents. A closed heart is one of self justification fixed on image, even a 'christian' one.

    Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

Rejecting the promptings and or convictions that the Spirit brings to your attention. Preferring the teachings of men rather than those of God

    The waster:

It is the love of righteousness that shifts the perspective. This is not to be confused with the lip service that declares the love of righteousness. It is a shift in the heart, the core of a man's consciousness.

“...and with his stripes we are healed.”

The narrow path, those who keep the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus are a target for Satan. We pray for protection and walk in gratitude for it. We also pray to learn how to love.

    JESUS

John 10:28-29 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I have given them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the...

Godliness with Contentment is Great Gain.

I can assuredly say, he is there. He seeks to save the lost. Much of my own suffering in the past has been due to my skewed paradigm and all the associated stuff.
