@CharismaticLady Because I suppose ppl though TV and the computer are a lot more aware of some of the outstanding artwork that is now done, they are I guess generally more willing to have it done, even if like you say some artists are more skillful than others. There seems a huge potential also...

@michaelvpardo Thanks for your comment; and I guess among Christians how 'artificial' would exactly be defined would vary somewhat, I suppose; for many Christians the bottom line might be that as a conversation-starting tool they are very effective indeed.

@Heart2Soul Well... :) I suppose for example that when no one else in a family has yet gotten a tattoo, in some circumstances the first person to have it done may need a bit more confidence to go ahead, but if this is viewed at all as a 'hurdle', then it might become easier for the second tattoo...

@CharismaticLady John's First Epistle shows very clearly that true believers can sin, but we have an Advocate with the Father. Sin does not have dominion in the true believer. I think we have gone over this before.

Romans 8 shows that all believers are indwelt by the Spirit; clearly also, the same chapter shows that the Christian life includes ongoing mortification of the deeds of the flesh.

@soul man It's a hymn I happen to have known for years. Just goes to show I suppose that the sovereign grace of God has been so vital a subject in the Godly meditations of His pilgrim people.
