Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Giuliano It's certainly not for everyone, is it?

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

PS: @Naomi25 Let's hope she can finish her training well, soon, and find suitable work and be richly blessed in her life, following the Lord.

    John Darby

@Naomi25 Oh I think they are literal. But that they also have application to various tendencies which have occurred in church history and can occur. For example, the letter to the church at Ephesus seems to fit the general context of the 'real live' Ephesian church in Acts and in the Epistle...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Giuliano I think it's pretty general now for consultations to be by appointment. I saw a notice on a local tattoo parlor window: "You need a tattoo". Well, they would say that, wouldn't they? :) I reckon lots of artists are busy tattooing now to recoup some of their losses when the parlors were...

    John Darby

@Naomi25 I guess I keep coming back to 1 Corinthians 10.32 which speaks of those three different categories of people: Jews, Gentiles, and the church of God...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Getitright Thanks for your vote! I see you voted: "No, but it sounds like a good idea to start conversations". My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also; and I'm sure other conversations have...

    Your favorite Psalm?

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Naomi25 Well, this is not unusual! A while ago a majority of the young men at the small, conservative local church that my wife and I attend seemed to be wearing earrings. Ear stretching, too, is quite popular with young ppl. The basic holes are usually around 20g or 18g. Then the stages down...

    John Darby

An interesting book is L. Verduin's The Reformers and Their Stepchildren. In the book the writer looks historically at various Anabaptist preachers; it is clear that some of them anticipated what dispensationalists would feel they had found in the Scriptures.

Today is a critical day for this nation!

It all goes to prove from the New Testament that the Gospel - rather than the law or (perish the thought) politics - is the true rule of the believer's life: in the end the priority for our lives and those of others is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
