@soul man I agree; I'm puzzled by so called Fundamentalist preachers who when faced with passages in the NT on subjects such as divorce/remarriage for example will suddenly invoke "allegorical" prisms in order to re-interpret/un-interpret the plain sense of certain passages.

@Rudometkin Good verse there. Sometimes the word 'good' can be used in the sense of seeking the welfare of others (as in Philippians 2.1-5).

The term 'circumcised hearts' is a good figure of speech for the truth of repentance. Paul expands on repentance in Romans 2.

I think we should keep "looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12). "Even so, come Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22).

@Waiting on him It used to be that it was nearly always grandfathers rather than grandmothers that would have tattoos, but these days plenty of grandmothers have them, too.
