    WHO IS SATAN?

The Bible does speak about fallen angels, but it's important more than ever to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2), Who said: 'The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me' (John 14.30).

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@michaelvpardo Arm or wrist is probably a more suitable placement for a faith based tattoo (whether Bible verse or ref., Christian fish sign <><, etc.) My wife and I talked to a young lady with the wording of John 3.16 painstakingly tattooed on her wrist area: as a placement, thoroughly modest...

How many have ever changed their minds...

@michaelvpardo I think the point is also that the Acts of the Apostles is a transitional book... We do have in Scripture an abiding record of 'the faith once delivered to the saints' (Jude).

When the Holy Spirit rebukes You

@Rita I think Scripture would in any case tell is that repentance is an ongoing process that does not stop, as well as an occasion marked by conversion to Christ: "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of..." (2 Corinthians 7.10).

    The Compete Gospel

Not baptismal regeneration; it's symbolic; in Acts 2.41, 'they that gladly believed his word' were not baptised in order to become believers; they were baptised because they were believers.

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

The onus is on demonstrating that the Bible supposedly does refer to the United States; argument from silence gets nowhere.

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

If ppl want to see the United States in the Bible and want it strongly enough, they will likely "see" it. It's called eisegesis (putting meaning into the text), rather than exegesis (getting the meaning that's actually there from the text).

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Naomi25 Well, sooner or later they nearly all seem to go to the parlor now, to have it done. The point is, I guess, if it's in a faith based design, the motivation behind getting one: is it being injected with a view to wanting faith based conversations to ensue? For a lot of young Christians...

@Naomi25 I guess I sometimes have too much to say. (Sometimes this can happen in conversational Bible studies also....)

One of our Sisters Needing Prayer

@Nancy May the Lord graciously intervene in grace and comfort in @Helen ' family at this tragic time. "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." (Isaiah 48.10).

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

@bukka Decades back there was a prophetic paperback issued with a cover showing a missile with a hammer and sickle falling on a map of Israel. The hammer and sickle represented the Soviet Union. Where is the Soviet Union today? Where is the prophecy which insinuated that specifically Soviet...

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

So: what happened between the Apostles and the Apostles' doctrine (Acts 2.42) and the year 1776; was Apostolic authority supposedly revived in 1776? I'm confused...

    The Compete Gospel

Great passages there. I don't see baptism as effecting something spiritual; it's a precious, after-the-event symbol (Acts 2.41).

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

Umm...I don't see any...any...direct reference to the United States in Scripture; really I don't.

Does Psalm 109 really mention President Obama?

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

The same folk seemed to want Martin Indyk as US Ambassador to Israel (who wasn't even American and who hastily had to become one); because they are influential, he duly became US Ambassador to Israel.

Kamala Harris Is Not Eligible to Be Vice-President of the United States

@Giuliano I was unimpressed by Jerry Falwell's fundraising for the Contras, decades back. But then again, if someone has money, or money-raising publicity skills, it seems that somehow a lot of ppl called evangelical suddenly get tolerant of incongruous relations between wealth and influence on...

    Hosea Redeems his Wife

This is among the most amazing books of the Bible. (Speaks much to the easy divorce culture of professing evangelicalism.) It ties in with the New Testament truth about the amazing, sovereign grace and patience of God in the Gospel.
