@historyb We can indeed know full assurance (Hebrews 10.22).

    Can you know for sure?

Hi @marks I saw the title of this thread and thought: we need to go to John's First Epistle. I pulled up the thread...and there you were... :)

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Hi @Ron Coates It used to be very much a man thing, didn't it? sailors and bikers, getting tattooed. Now it's also become a very womanly thing to do; parlors are more like salons in some places, rather than the poorly lit, lock up establishments in industrial sections in the port cities of...

    Rest IN Peace

If we trust in "It is finished" (John 19.30), then none may dare make us afraid, for time or eternity. :)

    Rest IN Peace

God's justifying act is perfect, indeed. Romans 5.1: ....we have peace with God....

    Beards

FYI: "I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting." (Isaiah 50.6) Hard to say Scripturally that the Lord Jesus did not have a beard.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Heart2Soul Well, as other posters have pointed out, it's so very, very widespread now, right? It really ought to be no big deal that ppl do it, right? when... (FHII) ...and when... (GodsGrace).

    Proverbs 19:14

Well, clearly women would go about bearing pitchers of water, etc. This is why it is sometimes commented that in Mark 14 a man doing so would have been so conspicuous.

Keep 'Armored up'; almost sounds like when my wife 'puts on her face'; LOL. Yes, our armour is spiritual and we need to keep putting it on by faith.

    Proverbs 19:14

@Heart2Soul Interesting that Lydia (Acts 16) was 'a seller of purple' and clearly employed ppl. Even the Proverbs 31 lady considered field 'and buyeth it'. Maybe some men were hostile to women in business, but it wasn't Scriptural to have such an attitude.

Hi @Heart2Soul Nice avatar photo you still have there. Reminds me of a book by William Gurnall, 'The Christian in Complete Armour', based on Ephesians 6.

    Proverbs 19:14

If someone is not a believer, but married, s/he is still married, none the less.

    The Love of a Father

Here's a hymn by G V Wigram: 'What raised the wondrous thought, Or who did it suggest, That blood-bought saints to glory brought Should with the Son be blessed? Father, the thought was Thine, And Thine alone could be, Fruit of the wisdom, love divine Peculiar unto Thee.'

    Proverbs 19:14

    @Heart2Soul Proverbs 31 is a wonderful chapter... :)

    Your favorite Psalm?

My wife and I have been going through the Psalms and we noticed that the word 'rock' keeps recurring.....A comforting thought, when the rock is identified with the Lord.

@Funny bird Obviously no need to comment any more, but like I said, did you happen to see / vote in the poll? (without further comment...)

    Proverbs 19:14

The point is that if married properly, it is before God, whether or not it is done in faith or in unbelief.
