    Fear God or Presume acceptance

I don't know anything about that disorder, but I love how you are able to handle it, and observe the Spirit's power first hand.

I do. Even though I believe all our sins of lawlessness are taken out of our nature and we are justified and sanctified, I believe we go through the process of glorification that leads to perfection - if you live that long... But, still, if you are on that road, even if you die without full...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Romans 6 is in the middle of Paul's 8 chapter teaching on THE LAW. Thus, willful sins of lawlessness - sins unto death, is what Paul is talking about. When you read Paul's list of sins of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21, I don't find anything there I do, or even want to do. I think the sins we...

Even children trust their parents. I think that was the kind of relationship God built with Abraham. Abraham believed every word out of the mouth of God. And yes, we can do that in our own power. I trusted that Jesus was stronger than I was. But just knowing that didn't save me. I had to act on...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Here is what I didn't get to last night. Took a while to find it. LOL I agree. When you love someone, you forgive them, and are not sarcastic against them. That is perfect love. This is where I believe we have to work a little harder to not grieve or quench the Spirit. If you are already there...

Your understanding of justification, doesn't take into account all scripture. 1 John 3:4-5 shows the type of sin that is taken out of our nature - willful sins of lawlessness. Sins against the royal moral law. 1 John 1:7 shows a person who has gone through becoming a Christian of 1 John 1:9...

Millions of American Believers take Authority over Covid-19 Virus

You are right, God is the Author of the prayer of faith. It is just one of the many gifts of the Spirit that too many in the Church believe ceased, making themselves powerless. He doesn't give these gifts to those who don't believe His Word about them - those with little faith. Anyway, I ONLY...

I agree, but I think it is due to a lack of understanding and a misinterpretation of the word "grace." God's Grace is not unmerited favor, the word "unmerited" having been added to favor. God is favoring us with His own POWER. We are free from the power of sin, and now have the power of...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Hi Grace, Thanks for responding. And thanks for the paragraphs, I'll answer in order. I agree with this, but would like to expand it further to what I believe happens. I believe this because it is not only scriptural in Acts 2:38, 2 Peter 1:2-4, and Romans 6 and 8, but because it is what I...

I mean you believe it is part of the law which doesn't apply to you. That is one reason why you don't accept the lower sin of trespasses. I'll read the rest tomorrow. This quote is as far as I got. Off to beddy-by.

I assume he did, seeing as he prophesied that she would join him. If you don't want to assume, that's fine. If God told Peter some things, why not everything.

I believe he did in the same way he knew that Sapphira would join him. He also knew supernaturally that they were lying.

Right, they were killed by God. Peter just received words of knowledge from God of what was about to happen.

Training? In what way? I'm not sure I know what you're saying. Explain what you mean by "righteousness that is by faith." Do you mean imputed righteousness like a covering over us, but that we are not actually righteous underneath? I'm not trying to put words in your mouth; just I've heard...

You seem to agree with EG. Are you sure you understand what he's saying?

Yes, the Old Covenant laws were much easier to keep and be blameless according to those laws. But the eternal laws of the New Covenant ARE much harder, though with the indwelling Spirit that directs us and empowers us, they are even easier than the Old.

God chastens those who grieve the Spirit. There is something far worse than mere chastening that can happen to those who quench the Spirit. 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

I see the problem with the OT Law is that it DIDN'T touch the heart at all and wasn't meant to, because it COULDN'T. It could do nothing about the sin in their nature. You know that. Jesus took away our sin and made us dead to sin. So how can you say He was teaching them the Law? What He taught...

Can a born again go back to licking up his own vomit> A person who is born again, has God's Spirit. But what if you break Paul's command to not quench the SPIRIT?
