Faithful and Just to Forgive . . .

So just because John used the word "we" you believe instead of TO Christians, he's talking ABOUT Christians. If you believe 1 John 1:6, 8 and 10 are describing true Christians, what do you think of Paul's writing in Romans 7:9. Is that about Paul when he used the word "I"?

Tongues, a SIGN to the UNBELIEVER

Everything I teach has been given to me in prophecy.

Jesus already has, and given me His powerful Spirit to empower me not to sin. So you have faith, but no power?

Why do you think Jesus will say to some, "I never knew you, you workers of wickedness"? It is because of doctrines like that. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

    Good night all.

Jesus came to take away our sin, not to just cover it up with His blood so the Father doesn't see it. If we sin in the flesh, we are a slave to sin. What it means that Jesus condemned sin in the flesh is that we are no longer bound to our carnal flesh, but are free to walk in the Spirit and...

Why did you post Romans 7:25 to begin with, if it is "nothing"? Do you still sin, but just aren't worried about it anymore. Is that what Jesus did for you, or more.

I am born again and I do not willfully sin. What does Romans 7:25 have to do with you?

We must be born again. What does that mean to you? And what does Romans 7:25 have to do with you now?

You still didn't answer my question. Are we saved if only our spirit is saved, but we sin in the flesh? Is that what condemning sin in the flesh means to you? I hope you are not applying Romans 7 to yourself.

So as long as your spirit is saved, you can sin in the flesh because it will perish anyway?

Faithful and Just to Forgive . . .

It means the same thing, and I wasn't quoting. It means no sinner goes to heaven.

Its okay if you don't sin, but many of the false doctrines in the church are about sin, and they make Satan jump up and down with glee.

What do you mean by "Jesus condemned sin to the flesh"? What does that mean for Christians who walk in the Spirit?

Helen, I know you are angry with me, but I need to warn you not to let a root of bitterness overcome you. I love you. I forgive you. Can you forgive me?

Father God is holier than you can imagine. Jesus said that sinners cannot abide in His house forever. That means they cannot have eternal life in heaven. That is why Jesus has put an end to transgressions and brought in everlasting righteousness, so we CAN be in God's presence forever. But you...

Yes. If you sin unintentionally, is that with your full knowledge? Under the Old Covenant, yes, working on the Sabbath resulted in death. It was the sign of the Old Covenant. We are not under the Old Covenant anymore, so neither are we under the sign of that covenant.

John says there are sins unto death and sins not unto death. The Old Testament, our schoolmaster teaches which sins were not covered by any sacrifice and they were stoned to death, and the type of sin that could be covered by sacrifice. Do you know the difference?
