@Sabertooth Local churches are not in any case in any position supposedly to "implement policy" when it comes to private issues like this. Within a Biblical local church, there will sometimes be widely divergent ideas and life situations among those who are sound in the faith.

@Rita It's often commented that in Western Canada the outlook is significantly more oriented to the US, or at least, common outlooks often seem to prevail sometimes, how ever much sometimes denied.

@Rita Let's trust that over this distancing period he will find a peace at home and a sense of settling his thoughts by God's grace in the perennial things that really matter in terms of values for time and eternity. I'm sure you pray for him a lot and for all the family.

@Rita, I guess this is really how l look at it; emphasis on what Scripture may say and reveal; dream memories can be both extremely vivid but also very subjective in the greater scheme of things.

@Not me Thanks for the question. I guess the term is very generally used. The OP simply sets the background about the sheer profusion of the medium today. Leaving aside personal likes/dislikes and the aesthetic/unaesthetic aspect, I guess it's a general question about the overall ball park...

@Nancy : Do you think there is also an element here of a Jewish remnant as seen in Matthew 24? I guess it all relates to how one reads Scripture in terms of dispensations and the groups mentioned in 1 Cor. 10.32, Jews, Gentiles and the church of God.
