Can you overcome depression using the Bible?

It saddens me how this thread has gone. Getting back to the OP, Can you overcome depression using the Bible?; I am always mindful that "can" is about potential. Some people play the ALL v SOME game in derailing the question at the get go. I, for one, am not interested in those conditions where...

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

It is what I am trying to convey. (I'm not sure I'm buying into the idea that God is manifesting Himself as an angel.)

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

You do make it hard to agree with you. Based on my quote above ... ... I have no idea how what you wrote relates to my post above. It's like you are being pendantic about theophany. How about if you respond to my point, how Judges 2 is an example of Angels and prophets speak the words of...

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

Exactly. Angels and prophets speak the words of God, even using the 1st person, but are not God. It gets confusing sometimes. Regarding the burning bush, I was wondering about the pillar of cloud during the day and fire at night the led the Hebrews out of Israel. Was that also a theophany but...

    The Case Against the Trinity

Being a Christian is not what 4th century mystics demanded in using the power of the Roman Empire to take or burn property and murder non-mystic Christians. Sad to equate being a Jesus follower with embracing trinitarianism, which is not in the Bible. Circular Reasoning. I do not believe...

    The Case Against the Trinity

No. See Post #704. The Bible says this over and over and over again.

    The Case Against the Trinity

I doubt it is the voice of the Holy Spirit that has taught trinitarians to ignore God the Father (violate the 1C & 2C) and his Son (words above). Good because this thread is not a debate thread. This thread's purpose is to strengthen the case against trinitarianism. I found trinitarians do...

    The Case Against the Trinity

I'll take what follows as you will just ignore the very words of Jesus to support your coequal doctrine. I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will. John 5:30 I am going to the...

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

I am not affiliated with the church by that name. But my question remains unanswered.

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

No. I am a unitarian Christian.

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

Putting Michael aside, I was reading Judges 2, which says an angel led the people out of Egypt. Is this angel also God?

    Management and Organization

If you are not starting being productive as soon as the sun rises, I think I understand why you feel there is not enough hours in the day.

    The Case Against the Trinity

@Heart2Soul, are you going to just ignore the very words of Jesus to support your doctrine?

    The Case Against the Trinity

More verses that do not support trinitarianism. Regarding the desperate attempt to suppose a vague verse undermines the unitarian text. Let me re-state my point: No, Jesus never said he God or was equal to God. On the contrary, Jesus said God was greater and knew more than him. These are not...

    The Case Against the Trinity

LOL. A son is not the father. Only the Father is God. Again, see post #704.

    The Case Against the Trinity

I agree, there is no trinity in the Bible. There is only God and his son. God is Spirit and his spirit is holy. Only one imposing trinitarian dogma would suppose the unitarian text of Isaiah 48.16 supports anything more than 2 beings.

    Management and Organization

Management and Organization The question to ask yourself is how many effective hours are there in a day? Henry Ford came up with the 8 hour work day for a reason. At work, we plan to meet annual capacity based on how many effective days in a year we can plan on. 365? No. 235 days. Keep that...

    The Case Against the Trinity

No as I stay out of FOR trinity threads. But again I have no idea how you suppose that verse supports trinitarianism. Jesus says he was sent and the one who sends is greater than the one sent. No kind of equality there.

    Management and Organization

The other great thing about this approach is even if you do not get everything done, at least you have the satisfaction of knowing you did the things that are most important to you.

    Management and Organization

Management and Organization The dead give away you are taking on too much. See Hurried Woman Syndrome. The # of hours is fixed. What you can do in a given day needs to ALSO be limited, therefore. My wife is totally oblivious to why I say no to things until AFTER she hits the wall in energy...
