Luther's version was worse, but not by much.

Have you ever been baptized with the Holy Spirit? If you have, you know that is not out of context. We who have been filled with the Spirit live this life, not the one that always sins as you try to preach.

I'm sorry to say you may not be ready for meat either.

Yes repentance. But they think it is confessing each sin as they commit them, rather that acknowledging that our whole nature is weak, and we need Jesus to save us and empower us through the Holy Spirit to change our desires, so that we will not commit willful sins of lawlessness again.

Can you just imagine if I did try to teach him a little "advanced," the meat of the gospel? He'd be more confused than he is now.

I've taught the answer for years. He's just not ready, nor open.

This is advanced theology you are not ready for. You are still not digesting milk! 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

You do with your beliefs that a Christian sins, erroneously pointing to Paul. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has...

Romans 1 through 7 is Paul's teaching on the Jewis laws. The New Covenant goes from the LAW that has been the only thing people had from Moses up until Christ. Through Christ and the new birth, the New Covenant is the law of the Spirit that goes much deeper than the bottom-line Old Testament...

You really haven't a clue what John or Paul mean do you. You and David are trying so hard to justify sinning you have chosen false teachers.

I'm not saying you are unsaved - you are by claiming Romans 7 is about Paul as a Christian, and trying to justify sin, a doctrine of demons. What is advanced theology that you don't know is Semitic writing styles of Jews. Paul was a Jew so would have written in the eastern style of writing. You...

You are the one that relates to Scriptures about the unsaved, not me. And if you had read Romans 7:7-13 you would see it is talking about the Ten Commandments, verified by the commandment on coveting. Read it again, in fact read from Romans 7:7 through Romans 8:9, to see that Romans 8 frees us...

"complete and active" is that we function in the Spirit as they did in the first century. JM believes that has ceased, which is ignorance of Covenant rules.

Not being under the law is not lawlessness, but actually deeper than the superficial OT law. But your question in typical.
  19. CharismaticLady

    Calvinism

What Charismatics "allege" is that the New Testament is complete and active, nothing has ceased in our New Covenant, just as nothing ceased in the Old covenant until Jesus fulfilled the law. Calvinists are clueless about Covenants.

I can read, but more importantly, I can comprehend in context. Like all Calvinists with this same western argument, you undoubtedly got from some Calvinist commentary, they overlook that Romans 7 is about the LAW (the ministry of death), and Romans 8 is about the SPIRIT. So it is Law vs. Spirit...
