When is a christian NOT a Christian?

Great thread topic. I like what Jesus says on the topic. What I love about Jesus' words is that it not about feelings or paying lip service to action less belief. Only those who act (in following Jesus) are Christians. 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any of you want to be my followers...

    Once Saved Always Saved

Your words are nonsense in the face of Scripture that was provided to you by justbyfaith @ Romans 11:20-22: Yes, but remember—those branches were broken off because they didn’t believe in Christ, and you are there because you do believe. So don’t think highly of yourself, but fear what could...

    So, Judgment Day is fictitious?

Everything. It means everything. Not sure what ‘works’ were required for the thief on the cross.

    Once Saved Always Saved

I don't think he thief at the cross had the opportunity to fail to do the will of God after he called out to Jesus to be saved. Laps on the same subject. Yes, past tense, saved, not future tense. You cannot even use language correctly for doing so reveals the fallacy of your doctrine. We are...

    The Masculine Jesus

And I've tried to tell you that is a great topic for another thread. I watched a great video series on marriage by a Pastor. One video was about the responsibilities women have in marriage. Another video was about the responsibilities men have in marriage. In that video the Pastor pointed out...

    The Masculine Jesus

Then, respectfully, I submit you are posting in the wrong thread. This thread is a reaction to the institutional hatred for the male gender. I am defending only because masculinity, males, men and boys are under attack.

    The Masculine Jesus

You are probably wrong if you did not post Scriptures highlighting the masculinity of Jesus. Did you ask Amazed@grace why she is so accusatory?

    The Masculine Jesus

I've explained several times. Obviously, my explanation is not satisfactory to you. 2 x 2 matrix. Good (Apples & Oranges) v Bad (Apples & Oranges). Columns are Good & Bad. Rows are Apples & Oranges. What don't you understand? Feminists tend to want to only talk about the diagonal, Bad Apples...

    The Masculine Jesus

Not the subject of this thread. Maybe. Maybe not. Here is the passive aggressiveness I've been dealing throughout this thread ... If you are not agreeing then what ARE YOU DOING with the below of boys being shamed and having to apologize for being boys?

    The Masculine Jesus

What reason to be 'so accusatory' is acceptable to you? (I deny being 'so accusatory.' Just responding to various fallacies in this thread rather than follow the question of the OP, post Scripture highlighting the masculine Jesus). @Amazed@grace even condemned my use of a single word...

    The Masculine Jesus

It is so and I am grateful you can express sorrow for this state of the world.

    Once Saved Always Saved

Well, it is a matter of faith that means action now, OBEDIENCE. It is not a matter of feeling that your feelings (trust) entitle you to salvation. Otherwise, Matthew 7:21 & John 15:1-2 would not be said by our Lord. To suppose being fruitful is of no practical concern is a meaningless faith.

    Once Saved Always Saved

You're in denial. The passage is talking about salvation, being cut from the vine. Matthew 7:21 & John 15:1-2 are both talking about Salvation. And both passages explain the pathway is not inaction through Christ.

    The Masculine Jesus

Typical. So difficult it is for women/feminists to make positive statements about masculine traits. It's so funny that the point needs to be clarified over and over again. Revealing it is that feminists elaborate endlessly and effortlessly about negative traits of masculinity, e.g., toxic...

    The Masculine Jesus

In the 2 x 2 matrix, this point you make is in the same quadrant as toxic masculinity. Just because <masculine> MEANS HE WILL/IS/HAS <positive traits> is the quadrant of this thread. Again, you are attempting to turn an actual <masculine> trait into a mere potential (can). The counter balance...

Discernment. Are you truly unable to differentiate between NOW and LATER? I know I do not have Covid (NOW) but maybe I’ll get it (LATER)?

Do you hear yourself? If you do not produce fruit, you will be cut from the vine. This means nothing to you!

    Once Saved Always Saved

I wonder what 'cut off' means? Jesus, the True Vine 15 “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. John 15:1-2

    Once Saved Always Saved

Oy vey. The lack of discernment is painful. "Both" ways includes the 2nd part of Matthew 7:21 that qualifies only those who actually act. Not sure what is confusing about this, beyond that it goes against your dogma. True Disciples “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter...
