Hi; Ephesians 2 interestingly speaks of people who were dead in unbelief by have been made alive by grace in Christ. :)

@Funny bird If you read Romans 8, if your read John's First Epistle (5 chapters, these passages are wonderfully reassuring); if you read Ephesians 2.1-10: these passages show that salvation is a work of God; it's not based on works at all. Ephesians 2.10 does say that 'we are His workmanship...

John's First Epistle has wonderful references to light: associated with walking faith with the Lord Jesus, Who cleanses His people from their sins.

John 17 is truly a glorious chapter! :)

Father, Son and Holy Spirit are strongly present in Scripture: the end of Matthew 28, Romans chapter 8; John's First Epistle. All three Persons of the Godhead work together in the redemption of God's believing, pilgrim people, because of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ at the Cross for sinners.

@Funny bird Thanks for your response. I do believe in the eternal security of the believer; Romans 8.38-39; John's First Epistle is very strong on the believer's assurance. (Tattoos are sometimes simply used as faith witness tools.)

We need to keep things in perspective; Matthew 24 seems to relate not to the church but to a Jewish remnant.
