It's not a problem. Since "Ash Wed. is a Catholic tradition, I always had a knee jerk reaction to the practice (after leaving the CC) that I grew up with. I do not see the day itself as central to any kind of doctrine; core to the Christian faith. Not really knowing a whole lot about it...

Indeed, "do not forsake..."!!! My spirit has a need to be amongst other Christians. It is not as much as I would like but God is opening doors. A Christian was never meant to be an "Island"...heard that somewhere once, lol. We NEED each other for so many reasons.

Lol...no need to ask, you are clear as usual. Oh yes indeed, you are so right. It has become a "job" for most of the pastors out there. Although, I do know a couple who also work outside the Church. It's a different world out there, NOT that we should be surprised.

Amen to that...it's rare anymore I suppose for pastors to preach ALL truth freely without "fretting" about their doors closing. If God blesses a place/group for preaching His whole word...why should a pastor even doubt his Church will be blessed, there seems no true balance anymore. SO many...

Because of how you interp.? I myself may be solid in my "beliefs" for now but, my interpretation of certain scripture has changed many times over the years, and will again, most likely.

Well then, I suppose my beliefs are absolute truth's (to me). Nobody but God has absolute Truth. We are to SEEK it though and grow through the process of renewing our minds, repenting, battling the spiritual war that rages on constantly. All I want to overcome is this present world...

Okay, I suppose my belief is nothing more than my opinion. But faith, IMHO is simply trusting in a Godly outcome without fretting and worrying. Even, especially when we see absolutely NO way past a difficult thing, or impossible thing (for us, imposs.) And, yes, I can see autism as a gift...
