Scriptures and Doctrines Roman Catholicism and Protestantism perverted together

Except there is not one recorded instance of that being the case. Excerpts from Is The Trinity True Or False - Is The Trinity Biblical Where do we see the Apostles or anyone else for that matter following the explicit instructions of Christ here? Here are all verses where anyone was baptized...

    Once Saved Always Saved

I appreciate the subtlety. Of course, we have to empty ourselves of self to make way for the HS.

    Once Saved Always Saved

Agreed. I keep the 2 straight this way. Being saved is to face your maker. You can be very close to him but turn your back on him. Not good. Sanctification is working to get closer and closer to your Creator. Someone who devoted their life to Christ but turns that back on him is in worse shape...

Scriptures and Doctrines Roman Catholicism and Protestantism perverted together

Wrong! My Bible says *some* manuscripts read God. But the point is irrelevant because we are all made in the image of God. The idea that this verse means something beyond reflective is a concoction.

    Once Saved Always Saved

No one said salvation is a process. Yes, hence Matthew 7:21. Just because 'clean' is not a process does not mean it is impossible me to get dirty again. By default, I am in my Father's Will. However, my own actions can lead to disinheritance. Hence, Luke 12:43, 45, 46.

    The Masculine Jesus

In another thread, a poster remarked how Jesus in Scripture is not always lovable, kind or meek. Our feminized society has profoundly attacked masculinity - even calling it toxic. A pastor once gave a Sermon and said Jesus is the ultimate in masculine in that he sacrificed himself to save...

    Once Saved Always Saved

In yesterday's Devotional Reading I came across this verse that I believe is germane to our conversation and wanted to share it. In short, doing your job is being faithful and loyal; not doing your job is not being faithful and loyal. It will go well with that servant if he is found doing his...

Scriptures and Doctrines Roman Catholicism and Protestantism perverted together

Please be explicit about what the corruptions are in these verses.

    Once Saved Always Saved

It is so odd that you think this receipt is one and done. The parallel is that you are a drowning man and Jesus throws you a life preserver. You cannot just momentarily hold onto it and think you won't drown.

    Once Saved Always Saved

No one ever said there were 2 Saviors. A Savior is a person. How Jesus saves is through faith - through action as he said in Matthew 17:21. We are not saved by our action but through our pre and post requisite action. That is, we cannot pay lip service to belief while not being transformed, not...

    Who is Jesus Christ?

It is a translation, not an alteration.

    Once Saved Always Saved

I think you and Ferris are not communicating as he can used ‘saved’ to mean past tense - but must remain actively doing God’s will - while you do not use the term to allow for that. In today’s Devotional Reading I came Luke 13:5 and thought of this discussion. Do you suppose our Lord meant...

What did you plan to be when you were young vs. what you turned out to be?

I wanted to be a scientist ... ... got 2 science degrees and became a development engineer.

    Who is Jesus Christ?

That’s not what I asked. If he’s a man and pre-exists, then all men must also pre-exist. Just because we do not have more references does not affect the logic involved. Do all men pre-exist before taking human form? Suppose they do. And further suppose, Jesus being the first born of all...

    Who is Jesus Christ?

Supposition on top of supposition. Even if he pre-existed, it most certainly does not mean he is God incarnate. Jesus is explicitly said to be a man - over and over again. Begotten like us all. Do all men pre-exist before taking human form?

    Who is Jesus Christ?

That applies to all of us. We are all made in the image of God.

    Who is Jesus Christ?

I’ve heard the dogma but no verse in Scripture actually contains this dogma. Many verse say Jesus is a man; no verse says he is God. This is just part of dualism.
