Just the opposite. If you don't sin, you don't need to repent. There is no license to sin except for those who don't know that Jesus takes away our sin - freeing us FROM sin, not freeing us TO sin.

I know what you've been taught, but it goes against covenant theology. I really wish you could grasp that. I used to believe as you do about 1 Cor. 13:8, but then I read to the end of the chapter and the Spirit showed me the truth - FACE TO FACE is the second coming. Nothing will cease until then.

Do you know what a covenant is? It is like a will and testament. While Jesus was on earth, He LIVED under the old covenant while teaching the New Covenant that would not come into effect until His death, like any other will and testament.

Not clear what you are referring to being "done away with." The law or transgressions? What is it that Christ takes away? Why does Paul say we are not under the law?

They seem to believe that the righteousness of Jesus is imputed to them and covers all their ongoing sins. But John says, "He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous." Revelation 22:11 shows the two types of Christians that will have eternal life - righteous and holy.

("even if we committed murder and adultery 1000 times a day") What percentage of the Church do you think believes that heresy? I don't think many Lutherans...

Hi E, Grace is one of those words that has lead to some unhealthy beliefs in the church that can actually lead to sin and death. You're good at this so why don't you explain what true grace is and how it equates to the Spirit.
