    The Case Against the Trinity

To embrace trinitarianism, you have to embrace all kinds of contradictions and accept all manner of redefinition of words. Son comes from the Father. There is no co-equal. And the Bible says this over and over again. 1 Corinthians 11:3 The Voice 3 But it is important that you understand this...

    The Case Against the Trinity

This has been thoroughly rebuked. A word is not a being.

    A Unitarian Christian

As I said, I am no longer associated with the church by that name. So, I am a small unitarian. Rather than focus on the man-is-God thesis, focus on the basis is to reject the doctrine of the trinity; that there is one God, the Father (as 1 Corinthians 8:6 days). God selected a servant to to...

    The Case Against the Trinity

And how he did this was through obedience to God and accepting the Holy Spirit of God, which was prophesied to God’s servant, not God incarnate. Isaiah 53 comes to mind. The Bible is explicit on this point: one man brought sin into this world; one man atoned for it. Emphasis on man, not God...

I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

    Mary’s children?

Oh? I look forward to you sharing this plain Scripture.

    Mary’s children?

It’s this expectation of mental gymnastics that has turned me and many others, not only away from reading the Bible but from Christ. Such mental gymnastics is the opposite of the Good News. The Good News is not dogma; it is that God has revealed his plan for your salvation through his Servant...

    Mary’s children?

Yea, figurative and literal. I am taking the text to be a literal brother, meaning biological. You are insisting the text be figurative so that brother means anything other than biological.

Why The Apostles Repeatedly Disobeyed the Risen Lord

Because that is nonsense, circular reasoning. Jesus said to say X, Y and Z. For some reason, you are saying X = X, Y & Z. So, therefore to say X is to say X, Y & Z. This is the exact same thing as disregarding what Jesus allegedly said in Matthew 28:19!

Why The Apostles Repeatedly Disobeyed the Risen Lord

What verse in Eph 3 says this? If this is so, then why Matthew 28:19? This makes no sense at all.

    The Case Against the Trinity

That is the interpretation of trinitarians. I meant to use the phrase first fruits, which implies a series of like to follow. The false deification of the man Jesus has, IMO, undermined what the Good News is; like Jesus who lead the way, we are the children of God, who have divinity within...

    The Case Against the Trinity

Yes. Elohim does not just mean God but heavenly beings, such as angels. And this one plural reference should not be given EQUAL weight to the >5,000 times God (not Elohim) refers to himself in the singular and is referred to in the singular. You have to keep in mind the context of the Bible...

    The Case Against the Trinity

We all need grace. I reject the idea that our salvation depends on our doctrinal purity. Most people I know do not think it through; they just accept what they were taught as children. They may be victims of evil but are not evil. Gullible, perhaps. Because Jesus is our only mediator to God...

    Mary’s children?

Frankly, I don't believe you in this context. No. My translations of the Bible all say brother. The primary and general meaning of brother is biological. It is not my assumption that the relationship is brother; it is your assumption brother does not mean biological. Again for theological...
