    When God is Silent

"The storm that bowed Thy blessed head Is hushed for ever now, And rest divine is ours instead, While glory crowns Thy brow." For the believer, the claims of judgment are now silent for ever. :) "It is finished."

Men, Can you Tell If Other Men Are Good-Looking?

For beards, etc., there's also the practical side of not having to shave every day; this is the clincher (for me), rather than looks...

More Christian tattoo artists a positive development?

@shnarkle I take your point to some extent, although ear piercings have been around from time immemorial... (Even a majority of the young men and boys who attend the very conservative local church that my wife and I go to, have earrings; and it's not regarded as a big deal at all...)

Men, Can you Tell If Other Men Are Good-Looking?

(I guess this thread is like a stream of consciousness theme...ought not to derail...)

Men, Can you Tell If Other Men Are Good-Looking?

Well, there's an area that science and technology needs to keep working on to enhance and broaden what parlors can realistically and successfully do, right? I guess anyway the moral would be, among young women who might eventually want that particular procedure: go to the parlor to have it done...

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

I guess I was just referring to the word concubines...

Men, Can you Tell If Other Men Are Good-Looking?

Yes, I can understand that the perception that eyebrows need to be darkened can be widespread and can be felt in a deep-seated way. Maybe the granddaughter whom you mentioned who knows about tattoo parlors could accompany you to talk to them about the possibility of having the pigment put in...

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

Don't think this is fully a Scripture quote...

    When to Stop

Romans 2 is a strong and helpful passage on repentance.....
