Thanks for your comment. So basically you're saying that those who get tattooed are basically drug addicts? (18 year olds doing their rite of passage together with ear piercing, homeschooling moms, etc.?)

Yes, I would say so also. Good to distinguish always reading the Scripture for what they actually say from reading things into the Scriptures.

Out of the Renaissance and Reformation came strongly the idea of interpretation of words and their meanings according to their contexts. This is exegesis: getting the meaning from the text. Whereas reading meanings into the text - eisegesis - is the complete opposite.
